I'm having problems running 5x wow instances on my computer. My CPU usage goes up to 100% and i'm getting lag / freeze spikes every like 10-30 seconds, but when I dont have the "spikes" it runs just fine and smooth. Also saw that when I get the spikes the fps drops in the game. What could the problem be? Im going to post my setup of my computer hardware below and also how the CPU usage looks like. Would really appriciate help with this problem.

Picture is in Swedish

Setup :

ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3
Intel Core i5 2500K
AMD Radeon HD 6900 Series
8GB RAM
SSD

Does anyone know how many bots I should be able to run with this setup?

Hi.

Before we go into any detail on finding the culprit, can you tell me if 'Frame Lock' is enabled within the settings of Honorbuddy?
Additionally, within the WoW Client, open System and within the Advanced sub-menu, what is the Max Foreground/Max Background FPS set to?

Hello,

Frame lock is disabled in Honorbuddy settings. Both Max Foreground/Max Background FPS is set to 50% in the Advanced menu.

Need more information...

Are you running HB as well?
What resolution and graphic settings are you using?
Are you running anything else on the pc?

Yes, running 5x bots with honorbuddy.
Resolution & Graphic settings are : 800x600 and Fair.
Only running HBRelog with the bots.

Lower your graphics to the lowest available and limit your FPS to 30 (all that HB needs).

Also, check how much cpu HB is using. Could be a Plugin causing the increase in cpu usage

I'm running 5 bots in instances with a AMD Phenom II x4 2.8ghz with 6 gigs of ram (using all of it) and i'm getting anywhere from 50-80 CPU usage depending on how "intense" the fights are :)

Some tips : Enable HB's framelock and disable the Framelock in the CC/Botbase (DB i suppose?)
Disable CC movement and enable DB movement so it controls the combat and the CC just use the rotations.

If you're using a CC other than Singular, try Singular and see if the results are different!

As for how many your machine can handle, you pretty much can squeeze as many wow's as you can handle if you use the "Graphics reduction" Macros along with limiting the FPS
I've ran gathering bots at 15 fps and it was pretty stable/not resource intensive. you could probably run 8-10 of those if not more (reducing the fps reduces the CPU usage GREATLY)
As for Instances/Questing you should at least have 20 fps (HB's recommended is 25-30) otherwise the bot's combat won't go as fast as it should.

For dungeon running I find 33 fps is about right for maintaining cc ability while keeping overhead low, but for gathering you can go much lower like ZoOoOoM said.
