Separate wow install for each bot?

Hi I'm running 5 bots on the same pc and I'm experiancing wow acces violation errors/crashes and bot movement problems since wow patch 5.4.
I resolved the acces violation errors and crashes by using a different honorbuddy install folder and mesh folder for every bot. And keep needing do clear the wow cache folder to resolve the movement problems(every 3 - 4 days).
Therefor I would like to know if it is better to have a separate wow install for each bot? If it's recommended then I also would like to know if folder redirection would work for the wow game files so I can lower the diskusage of each install.

Kind regards,
h4x0r

Apparently if you clear your cache and disable all addons you won't have a problem.

Hi, H4x0r,

Many of us regularly run N bots on a single PC with a single WoW install, and single Honorbuddy installation. We also use a single mesh directory for all N bots with no issues. Honorbuddy is really good about supporting this configuration. And, 5.4 caused no additional issues in this respect that we know about.

My guess is that you may be using a Relogger, which will cause issues like this. This is because a Relogger does not allow Honorbuddy to shut down gracefully?instead, they just 'immediately kill the Honorbuddy task'. This can corrupt data files. If this is the case, the problem is the relogger, not Honorbuddy and the WoWclient.

Please show us a full log the next time one of your toons runs into this problem. The problem is more than likely something wrong with your Honorbuddy installation.

You did notice I am a member since 2010 right? ;)
I also want to mention, that I already resolved my wow/honorbuddy crash problems by using a sepperate honorbuddy installation folder for each bot.

So I yust want to know if it would make a difference if I use a sepparate wow installation for each bot?

Yours truly,

Absolutely, and that's why I responded the way I did. :D

Our seasoned members tend to take shortcuts because they know what they can "get away with". But, sometimes those shortcuts come back to bite. I was subtly asking "are you sure this is not a problem?"

No disrespect was intended. My experience (and a few others I know) is completely different from yours running with common directories for the WoWclient and Honorbuddy. I'd like to know why, if you ever figure it out.

chinajade thanks for the reply. I did not take any offence thats why I used the ;)

To explain why I am using multible honorbuddy installs:
I noticed when I was running one bot with the beta and the other ones with the latest release that the beta version never crashed. So I started running all my bots on the beta version, and got crashes on that one aswell. After that I yust tested with multible bots and only one bot and confirmed that the single honorbudy install was causing the crahses. After that I made sepparate honorbudy installs for each bot and have not had any crashes since.
