This was a trial bot so I only botted about 8-10hrs a day, 6/7 days a week usually.

Nope.

Always killed the agent. No disconnects or Blizz error reports. New IP from my last bot farm where I lost 48.

I ran those 48 for a few months. 6 machines - 8 bots each (or 8 machines - 6 bots each? I can't remember lol). And yes, just 1 account lost (only had the one going since I was testing the 24/7 vs. Normal Play Hours).

Anything else you wanna know?
 
very strange indeed.
In normal case they make small banwaves. and this week there was no banwave.

someone reported you maybe? looks like manual investigation.
 
Sorry for you Josh! I've also been in that situation were I was being banned in every single miniwave they made, it is really disgusting. Guess it all comes down to pure luck in the end.

Never saw a ban report with "Mechanics Abuse" instead of Use of third Party Programs as the Ban reason. It's weird.

Hope to see you soon, but if you intend to come back let me advise you to wait till Blizzcon. The updates that would be given there could clarify wether it will be profitable botting on RoS or not, and right now I'm leaning towards no profits to be made.

Now that I'm thinking about it, each one of the 48 banned before was for abuse of game mechanics as well...

I wonder if it's because I usually set the D3 processes to High Priority within my Task Manager...?

yep, all of us get this message in normal case:

Account Action: Account Closure
Offence: Unapproved Third Party Software
A third party program is any file or program that is used in addition to the game to gain an unfair advantage.

Also, banned for abusing game mechanics ? Da fak with that, i thought only ones who break the game are those chinese speedfarm bots...

New Ip Address and Botting < 24hr/day (trying to get rid of speculation as to what works and what doesn't).

The only other thing I can think of is I kill the agent.exe when the game loads up? :confused:

I'm confused as fuck.
 
did you sell unids or smth to ordinary players? probably a lot of connections between mules and bots + manual investigation of reported account...

That's the thing...this was an account with zero friends. I only sold items on GAH that were worth 300m+ an nothing to any actual players. There was no muling done, the bot was it's own mule.
 
Well, i do believe they can keep records of areas the people visited (remembering a post 6 months old of them saying being worried about people not visiting act 4 enough, as well as nerfing certain areas only like act 4 craters) so if you were running a two areas act 1 profiles or act 2 oasis only... i mean come on no human being does same waypoint usage 2 months straight :D

Agreed. I was actually running A3 by rrrix with its random loader for the xml's. I changed where I was going about every week and a half...
