Why was his post locked? He had an incredibly valid point. He wasn't complaining about the game, he was simply pointing out that your advertisements say "99.9% uptime", which is completely false.

Why is it threads get locked simply for discussing patches? This one in particular did not deserve a lock (and I'm sure mine will be too).

In theory, you guys could be sued for false advertising. ISP, Data Hosting, etc have all been sued (and lost!) due to not keeping their advertised SLA, etc. You'll get some guy who has mental break down because of his lack of botting, blah blah blah.

I believe that the 99.9% uptime applies to the website, I also believe you're grasping for straws over pointless lawsuits.

I do think they shouldn't promise such things because in this business environment anything can happen, keep in mind that Bossland does have lawyers who have probably done legal sweep over this site to make sure everything is as legal as it can be.

Even if it said 90% people would still use this bot irregardless of the percentage of uptime because their product is unique and as far as I'm concerned there's no competition, apart from the ones that hijack the now dead MMOGlider website domains.

Usually good companies (I dont want to say that bossland bad, I love your product guys) work with negative and make changes, for example they can add special disclaimer to 99.9% uptime about blizz patches

Also depends on your definition of uptime. HB's servers are never down. But when a patch comes out nothing they can do about it.
Its like your cable company working fine but the power company blowing up and shutting off your access to cable. Its not the cable companies fault.
Nothing HB can do when patches like these come out, especially little ninja patches.

Uptime is for the authentication servers. It's not possible to have a 99.9% uptime of the bot as it has to adapt to changes in WoW (unless Blizz decides to work together with them and give them the new offsets and ways to circumvent their warden before a new patch).

It does not depend on anyones definition of "uptime" the product itself is proclaimed "Honorbuddy" Honorbuddy does "Bot modes, questing, bgs, farming" the product is refereed to as honorbuddy, with these features. The uptime is guarenteed of said product in its advertisement along with the rest of its features.

It does not say "Honorbuddy auth service, supports bg bot, farming, forums, etc etc, uptime 99.9%". No, it SPECIFICALLY refers to the product(herein software) Honorbuddy. Its a stupid choice of marketing and very clearly impossible and false to put as a marketing value for your product in this case

this bot is always up unless a patch hits, ninja or xpac, doesnt matter.

Hell we know it's buggy, but we can atleast use the 'not so buggy' stuff in the mean time.

yea ive been a member for 3 days of which the bot hasnt worked for 1 day

i paid a lifetime but havnt 2nd thoughts if a ninja patch shuts everything down for over 24 hours
