Need help writing a specific profile

Working on making a profile to farm instances, however running into a little bit of trouble,

Started out making a profile similar to the blank one on the wiki, however the problem I've encountered is the way the profile is written, it doesn't respect the "Kill between hotspots" option.

I read on the wiki about how this doesn't work in grind profiles, just questorder ones, but I'm not doing any quests, I just want it to respect the option so I can have more control of my guy, making sure he clears all the bosses and mobs in the instance. Without being able to select this option he just rambos a straight line through the dungeon, ignoring all hotspots and leaving tons of mobs in side rooms and other areas untouched.

Uploaded an example of it right now, if anyone has any ideas of improvements I can make to get it to do what I want and not what it wants, let me know. Also would be interested in knowing if there is any other stuff I left out or put it unnecessarily in the profile (still very noob at this).

Please point this out in the Wiki, because this is simply wrong. I was unable to locate anywhere it said "Grind profiles don't respect the 'Kill Between Hotspots' setting," or anything like that.

On to your problem...
It looks like you've modeled your profile kind of like the Wiki's Farming Starter Profile. But, you've got a Blackspots section toward the bottom of the profile, and it should be above the Hotspots (the reason why is listed in the <Blackspots> documentation). You've also go the ProtectedItems and ForceMail at the top, where the wiki shows them at the bottom. So, I'd say the "modeling after the Wiki" was a loose correlation.

For instances, you will want the Grinding Starter Profile--not the Farming one. To be honest, I've never created a profile for an instance, and not sure it will work. At one time, Bliz didn't put X-Y-Z coords in instances, but they may be there now.

So, recast your Profile in terms of the Grinding Starter Profile, then come back if you have problems. I'd still like to know where you read that mis-information in the Wiki.

As an alternative, you may give DungeonBuddy and InstanceBuddy a look. I have yet to use either, but they certainly are on my list! If you use InstanceBuddy, be aware that it has its own scripting language that is not related to Honorbuddy Profile language in any fashion.

Maybe I was misinterpreting it, but was referring to this line in the wiki,

When used as part of SetGrindArea in a <QuestOrder> element, Honorbuddy will observe the user's setting of "Kill between Hotspots". However, this is not the same thing as a 'kill between SetGrindArea' setting?which doesn't exist.

And I think I've got the profile cleaned up, with more wiki reading, but the original one I linked was still functioning the same, just didn't look pretty. I think I've figured out what was causing my problem though, and made a new thread seeking an answer about it here to see if it's true, although perhaps I should of just posted it here, forgot about this thread.

This profile was intended to be used with Dungeon Buddy, was my whole reason for attempting to do it.

Attaching my new profile just to make sure it's looking how it should now if you got any more input, think I found all the stuff that was unneeded and also got it in the right order.

*Thanks* for the feedback. I cleaned up the wording in the Wiki, and hopefully that confusion won't ever occur again. It now reads:

* Honorbuddy will observe the user's setting of "Kill between Hotspots" for any grinding area. This is true for both the <SetGrindArea> used in a 'questing profile', or the <GrindArea> used within a 'grinding profile'.

You're profile looks good to me, although I need to go read about DungeonBuddy expectations. The one thing I would change would be <MinDurability>--you probably never want to use a value less that 0.2. The reasons for it are explained in the <MinDurability> documentation.
