I have been having some conflicts with Gatherbuddy at the moment, here is the problem

Once in a while, i will stop botting with GB, exit normally then when I try to re-open GB all my settings will disappear. I have the most up to date GB.

The only fix for me is that i have to re-download GB and fill in the settings all over again.
This problem does not go away when i use to old config and re-fill the settings.

I do not have a log of this due to the fact that GB has not started.

Edit: I am sorry about the vent and rage... MW2 can mess someone up really bad..

What about saving your settings file another place and just replace it if it resets?
 
Sounds like a permission issue, still hard to know with such a detailed explanation
 
Wtg's tip for getting stuff done.

1. Be polite, accurate and thorough when describing the problem you are having.
2. Search the forums, chances are you are not the first to have this problem.
3. Post a log...
4. Maybe even post a screen shot.

I am new to botting and have encountered many frustrations, especially seeing I paid for this service, but one thing I have noticed is that 9 times out of 10, if you provide the right data, the problem can be fixed by the helpful staff and volunteers here. As far as customer service goes, these guys are quite good, provided you give them the information they need to help you.

only happened to me 3 times +/-
If was caused by unexpected shutdowns of both wow /gb .
Instant turn off of the pc, etc things like that.
 
Gb "store info and settings" part works as it should

If its still doing this I'd be willing to bet your on vista/7 and have been running your bot from C:\Users\Username. UAC stops the bot from making rapid changes to files in this location. Either run it in C:\Users\Public\ or right click the icon for gatherbuddy. Goto properties. Click Compatibility Tab. Click the check for Run as administrator at bottom. Click Apply. Then close that window and try running the bot again. If your on 7/Vista I'd be willing to bet this is your problem.
 
My settings sometimes clear but I can just fill them in again and it remembers it for the next time.
Also turn UAC off, that's for grannies who dont know how to use computers. I don't understand how people can even use a computer without wanting shoving a gun up their mouth with that piece of shit invented by microsoft enabled.
 
UAC is for grannies? lolwut?

UAC is the best advance in security for home users.... ever... you do not need administrative privileges for a majority of the things most people do on their PC's every week. Have you heard of the recent Flash and Windows image vulnerabilities? Both of them could run malicious code from your browser served up by remote websites (legit ad servers and/or javascript injections on popular websites as just 2 common ways to get infected by "accident") - without notifying the user AT ALL that the code was being executed. Sure you can run NoScript, and I do... but sometimes I want javascript to work on a site and even legitimate sites can unknowingly distribute this shit - and have recently. In short... never turn off UAC unless you really know what you are doing, and you absolutely must turn it off (essential program incompatibilities are about the only good enough reason). Windows application developers have learned to do it wrong through MS bad design over the years.. they are coming around and new versions of most apps work fine with UAC. It helps if you have an understanding of the permissions structures in Windows 7/Vista, but we can't expect grannies to get that far yet ;)

More to the point of the post.. it does sound like a permissions issue as suggested. Moving your install folder to the Public space would help that. The other possible culprit would be a corrupted config due to an improper shutdown or a crash of GB. In that case removing the config file or restoring the original from your release download could help
 
That doesn't convince me at all. Maybe some people need it but I've stopped using Antivirus and firewalls about 3 years ago, haven't had a problem, ever. When I install a fresh new windows after a format, first thing I do is turn off UAC and windows firewall. There is nothing more frustrating than windows asking "Do you really want to execute this program" every single time you start something.
 
Most people don't even read the msg box and simply click ok... with that mindset, UAC is pointless and might as well be switched off.
In all honesty, those popups hardly ever give you any info on what exactly it wants to do anyway..
