Trinity - Monk Class

So TempestRush fix is working? could you guys merge it with official trinity ??

I've been working on making my mods a little more presentable (ie: represented in the UI w/ options) then I'll be sending it over for merging with the main line. Won't be long.
 
what about a way to keep tempest rush in use until bot is at a group of elites but still kill normal mobs?

it currently or (last time i tried) activated the ability for each enemy resulting in tons of spirit used instead of just holding it down and running through them.

is this possible some way?

i.e. tempest rush circles around groups of white mobs like a ww barb and to travel but run normal combat cycle when at elites.

also for the dual wield guys ... incorporating the weapon swap to a 2h while using tempest rush to travel would have 2h already equiped for buffed sweeping winds and reduce channel cost of tempest rush then swap to dw for combat.

What can we edit to make Monk resummon Mystic Ally?

Currently it does not summon Mystic Ally.
 
The issue with tempest rush in combat is that currently DB is using a hacked version of the barbarian whirlwind code. Now, during whirlwind, you can click and not interrupt the cast, but with tempest rush clicking during channeling restarts the cast, costing 15 spirit.

I'm working on a revamped TR combat function. It will get there - I just need more time to work on it.
 
Weirdest thing is happening with my monk after updating trinity. About every 3 seconds he'll punch the air. No objects around and it's like clockwork. If he's running with nothing around, he'll stop and punch the air then continue on his path. Not a huge thing but it's dropping my Gold/hour by nearly 100k.
 
so by setting my trash kill range to 0, it seems like we are getting close to a legitimate tempest rush build. The only problems i'm facing right now are:

- sweeping wind refresh spam appears to stop my monk from channeling tempest rush
- my monk will not cast sweeping winds unless there are elites nearby (due to having 0 trash kill range)
- going to pick up gold also cancels tempest rush channeling

If these problems get fixed, this will work really well, as there is nothng wrong with switching to first of thunder to fight elites, its usually better that way

I propose these changes (though arent really in the know enough to actually manage to make them myself)

- Add a checkbox that makes the monk cast sweeping winds if it is down (just like mantras)
- Fix not using sweeping wind to fetch gold
- Somehow get sweeping winds spam to be cast smoothly without interrupting tempest rush

and this will work really well!

edit: also ignoring destructibles will work well too

Hello, about the sweeping winds weapon exploit. I have reserved a bagspot for a high dps two hander, and when I tick the box to swap weapon, the bot will change to the 2 hander, but it doesn't change back again - am I missing a setting?
 
In what file did you find the trash kill range var. Could you help by posting what you edited so far ?

Its a setting in the settings panel. Just go slide the slider all the way back to zero.
 
Hadn't updated in a week or so, got the latest trinity today. The TR fix posted on page 19 was added baseline, which you prolly know since you added it, however, the monk just spams TR instead of channeling it.

Can anyone post the most effective Monk build with 1.0.7? Still running around with Thunderclap and Sweeping Wind ^^

Have Innas set? There's a checkbox in the Monk settings tab for this. It works pretty damn well.
 
No I don't have the Inna's set bonus for the 5 spirit SW. I can't figure out how to set it to use SW ALL THE TIME because that's where a lot of my damage and thus, healing, comes from.
