Selling accounts for money?

I know a ton of people bot for gold and sell it. Anyone ever tried botting or using RAF to level toons quick, then raiding and gearing them up with like 502/510 gear and selling account? I've been thinking of trying this cause it seems safer. Any thoughts?
 
If you're interested in learning more or observing about "trading" WoW goods Ownedcore is a good forum for this, they probably have guides much better suited as well. Just don't try on this forum :p

Using a quick Google search you can find a plethora of sites that will buy accounts, they probably have certain criteria and probably go through some kind of price negotiation to determine the overall profit made from the account. I will agree it's safer in terms of a ban rate, because it's difficult to get banned using Honorbuddy to quest. Now that there's profiles that do dailies and farm reps you can make decently valuable characters. I'm the kind of person though who either natively understands something with my common sense of a string theorist, or I need someone to explain every angle to me because I always throw in the "Well what about this? How does X work?" So Id look for someone who is into this sort of thing and just chat with them, get familiar and learn the basics before you try to fight with (probably) asians. In a perfect world id just ask them like what different aspects of a character are up for money? Like factions, achievements, gear (PvP vs. PvE), Classes, Pets, ..etc, and rank them. Figure out what sells for the most, and then just make that top heavy on the character.

I'm mainly just throwing words into this post, but it's not an evasive market like gold buying or selling. I bet there's someone/thing out there that can show you ropes and its worth.

Gearing them up kinda defeats the purpose of the bot, doesn't it? It'll take you a huge amount of self-involvement to get the gear up to even as much as 480, let alone 502. A full set of 502 gear can easily take you 2 months if the dice gods are being nice.

Now think having 9 bots to 502 in a period of 2 months and you are set to estimate ur profit. Obviously if you are getting in the hassle of lvling+gearing you wanna do it in bulk.
 
there is thousands of accounts like this for sale the best selling accounts for the most money seem to be very well played accounts with lots achives and titals ect u can try it but you will be competing with the chinnese and the millions of accounts out there already for sale but good luck.

p.s u only get profit if you sell.

If you believe that chinese dominate this niche, you better quit botting.This probably the most non-chinese related market ever.

dude there is millions of sites selling gold and accounts all by chinese and every item the game has to offer they dominate everthing every aspect of the game ever heard of a thing called google maybe you should try it.

Again: If you're going to 502 you're not going to be botting. You're going to have to do a lot of work yourself.
And even then: One of those accounts, if you're REALLY LUCKY will sell for 100 euros. 9 times that is about 1000 euros. In 2 months time. That's about an eighth of what I earn in my daytime job. Not really all that lucrative.
 
One market is maybe to sell druids with herb & mining to other botters thats are getting bored with the levling part after they get ban. Because many druids with H & M that are for sale maybe already are flagged. So a clean toon is maybe intrested for many to buy.
 
Its interesting question, but still we cant get in deep details, since how Liferose already mentioned, its not really tolerated here to discuss such questions.

actually you can easy reach 522 or even 530 (upgraded +8) only by doing dailies, it will take around 2 months but its not really that hard even makes decent GPH:
Items - World of Warcraft

weapon is one of slots not available this way but BS iLVL502 weapon is only 20K these days and it can be upgraded to iLVL510
