Anyone Still Earn Money?

I am running 30 instances, which cost me more time than a full-time job does.
Currently I can just only earn $300 per month in total, which cannot cover my personal expense.
I sell valuable items on RMAH, I use file-based loot filters.
Did I do anything wrong or everyone else is just like me?
 
I would recommend to stop botting, and wait for a Ladder reset, that is when you'll make big bucks again (hopefully). You started late, basically when you joined, the economy was near dead, and I can only assume it'll only continue to down grade in the near future.
 
ladder characters are characters in a competition for highest exp in a "ladder"/season system. the ladders last for an amount of time and after your characters get moved to what we are on now, this non ladder/competition. characters in the ladder bracket can only join games with other ladder characters. so in effect ladder brackets/seasons are currency resets which act like a new start to the game where everyone starts from level 1. i dont remember the usual span of a season, they actually ranged i think. every year or so.

D2 is every 6 months I believe.

So probably a year for D3.
 
if you wanted to go through the trouble you can sell unid's.



with 4 bots you can make a b in 2-4 days.


with 30 bots you make a lot more. It would just blow trying to pick all them up.
 
I started botting January. The 30 instances are just three weeks old and however they had been banned three days ago. In fact I'm losing money considering the account cost.

I am highly interested on what setup are you running the 30 instances. Are the graphics turned off? All in one system with vmware? It must be a very mighty machine :D

I am botting with demonbuddy since January too but 3 instances. I don't let them run 24/7 and no ban since and no ban in sight. I only use "choose random" profiles. What profiles do you use?
 
ship that machine my way i'll buy it off you! I'm running 8 bots and getting 75$ per week. This game is dying tho, i wouldn't invest no money in it period. You can bot another game (wow) or try think of another get rich scheme like we all do

lol. he surely isn't running them on a single computer. also: vmware is useless for d3 botting.
 
Your stats is better than mine. 8 Bots and $75 per week. I run ~4 times than you but i'm only getting $300 per month, which is the same as you do! How do you do that?

Sorry I'm not running the 30 instances on a single machines.
 
I make at least $100 a month running only 4 bots. How the fuck are you only making $300 with 30?

I don't sell unid, but I do sell on RMAH.
I easily make $100 a month even after all the fees and deductions.
You are doing something wrong.
 
It was up to about 1.27 per 50 million in the US over the weekend.

I've completely switch to high LPH barb setups running act 2 oasis. You'll make way more gold selling moderate ticket items (under 350 million) for gold, and anything higher in the RMAH. Running 5 bots that hit 3.5-4.5 legendaries per hour has me getting 50-80 bucks or so a week.

Not much, and barring any big items like a 6 crit mempo or truly top 20 all time in slot it's pretty moderate. If I didn't run a home server with a low wattage gpu for television downloads I don't think I would be botting anymore. I'm not willing to devote more than an hour a week to manage the bots. If it took any more time I could just do an hour of overtime for work and earn more :(
