Forums - No More Persistent Sessions?

After the forced password update a few days back, the forum no longer keeps you logged in - it's kicking me out every 10-15mins (despite ticking the save options). Any reason for this change?
 
It's very very annoying, kindly get this fixed asap.
 
because 2 extra clicks of saving username and password in the browser is that much more difficult;

No, but typing a post out, clicking reply to be told that your session is invalid and you've lost the reply gets old quick. The previous system was much better - I was always logged in, never had any issues.

Then mention that in your OP >.<

May of been "better" but tbh it was crap security - but for you dev's yes i imagine it is some what "annoying".

12 hour timeout... 24 hour timeout... expire at midnight each day.. any of these would be fine. At the minute it seems to be more like 10-15mins.
 
If you clear all your cookies related to thebuddyforum.com, and then login while choosing to save login it should work. When you are being logged out after 10-15 minutes its due to the server side session expiring. It should automatically create a new session using the cookie, but there seems to be a bug updating this cookie if you change your password.

Long story short; clean your cookies and relogin! :D

Uhh yeah that seems to have sorted it actually. Thanks for the tip!
