recent bans

Well, as much as some people (aka Tony) say there wasn't a banwave, i got banned. Again. And it appears that many people have been banned as well. So, there is the banwave on the 28rh of May and yesterday. This is exactly 6 weeks apart. Correct me if i am wrong, but this is the first time that mass bans are issued over such a a short period. This can't be good.. any thoughts?
 
yeah im not sure why he locked my thread... there were 10+ threads today and yesterday saying they got banned. there are more ban reports today than after blizzards "banwave" post a couple weeks ago.
 
Well, i am getting banned for sure, with 10+ chars each time, so i don't get how there isn't a banwave.. i think that DB team should "investigate" and possibly correct something in the bot itself. I don't know. What i do know, is that i don't really feel safe any more ;p 6 weeks is too short a period to just overlook it and say "well, it is just bad luck".

As much as I liked the pool splash analogy by Joshyo, it looks like they are aiming at my balls when launching the stone :(

About the suppossed banwave by blizz a week or so ago(that aparently skipped db completely), these could be delayed bans from it, but even so it seems small unless the bans keep happening periodically.

Right now I'm considering if it's smart trying to rebuild. 1 month is the absolute minimum to cover expenses, not taking into consideration electric power, db licenses and other stuff; and going through the levelling and gearing process again ....ugh what a pain in the ass.

Of course, having a decent amount of bots makes us an easier target than single botters. But anyway, there are other people there with bigger farms still untouched. I would love to know their secret.

I couldn't put it better myself. Exactly how i feel.

How do u even know that there are people with farms, moreover, how do u know they are untouched? I think the internet nowadays cannot be trusted for such information, so i suppose the only sure way to know is if you personally know someone who does it and u happen to trust.. I've also heard about the Chinese farms, but i could never confirm that. I've heard of clientless, private bots, but it could all be just rubbish. Looking at the amount of work put into DB and knowing how knowledgeable and competent the DB stuff is, i find it hard to believe, that people got these "super private" bots written and they cannot be detected. After all, you can always see how much playtime a character has. How else would you explain 720 hrs of playtime a month? Thousands of shared accs? :) :)

I'm still fine and know of at least one other guy that didn't get one single ban. Sorry for your loss guys..
 
Dude, this is getting old. No offense, but i am starting to not trust you ;) i don't believe everyone i know has bad luck. It is either you are lying to us, or you know something the rest of us don't. Like for example, are you using APOC's d3 starter? What the hell are you doing differently.. Now, i know if by some freakin chance that's actually the case, you won't give up your secret. But, at least tell us that there is something we should be searching for, u know what i mean..

DB itself is probably fine otherwise more of us would have been banned. I think it is a mix - lots of people botting 24/7 and Blizzard randomly bans a select number of those people, or maybe using certain plugins like APOC D3 starter which has previously been shown to be a ban magnet. I think the rest of us are safe in regards to DB, but of course botting itself, especially 24/7 botting is never safe.

i only use trinity, quest tools, and unid dealer. I dont use a relogger at all. Using isboxer

How do you restart the games that crash? Or, having only 4 games, they actually rarely crash? The only reason i am using a relogger at all, isn't to resize my games ;p it restarts the games that crash.
Also, do you use d3starter or you just copy the game over 4 times?
 
I got hit yesterday using apoc relogger.. was banned in 5/5.. had them since december banwave when I got hit 7/7 and restart with only 5..
dunno if it is still worth to restart... may take too much time to repaid just the accounts itself.
 
Not been banned yet on any of my bots, been running pretty much 24/7 since december. I even thought to myself "fuck it yolo" and botted a character to 100 on my main account as well a couple of weeks ago. No ban there either.
