How do you know if your AH competition is a bot and how do you deal with them?

Once in LK me and a buddy found an AH bot undercutting us...best thing ever...we undercut found its low point and bought all of his auctions, reposted when he stopped posting he made money but just not as much as us.

Haha right on, I've tried doing that (spent like 20k trying to reset the glyph market) and the next day my 300-500g glyphs were back down to 10-20g each =p. Ah well, still profited, just not as much as I wanted to.

There is actually a critical flaw in PB's logic. You could in theory exploit this and make a small fortune and run your competition into the ground, you would actually have to know what the flaw is though. And no.. I won't be telling you.

As awesome as that sounds, I really want to just treat this guy and others like I'd want to be treated. That's sounds like some cutthroat stuff though.

all's fair in love and glyph sales.

there have been a few times where i've bought 45 of the same glyph below 10g, vendored most of them, just to clear them out of the market, then reposted at 220g/310/330/350g.

Hmm I might try that out, I've got some pretty hefty stacks of some glyphs now after the last attempt at resetting the prices.
 
i gave smoe dude a stack of mystery meat. Who was a bot and he said thank you ;)

I hereby decree this as the Mystery Meat test.

Although I tend to manipulate the AH myself, id probably hit Open All and suspiciously glare at the Mystery Meat 20 minutes later wondering what I payed for it.

Again, don't like it then make your own AH Bot which can detect other bots and doesn't undercut them.

Reminds me of a priest that wiped a raid in Cata, She was anal about the guild bank and always QQ'ed about people just throwing crap in there. I filled the bank up with 4 slot bags, she spent an hour trying to clear that mess up.

I'm going to have to try that idea also, Seems like it would screw with someones head after that.
 
why not just leave them alone ? you bot, they bot, we all bot togeather.

you ARE allowed to do what the fk you want. Noone here will give a shit if you report a bot.
Its another thing to run around the forums screaming "oooohhh yeeeaaaa reported another bot!" - of course your account will get suspended then, as they mods/admin/staff/owners don't like to see this.

still, let me quote you again, you forbid *someone* to report bots and told its PERMA BAN FROM THE FORUMS if you report bots. I clarified by sayin' you lied, cause the only action in that szenario is POSTING here that you reported someone / be proud of it / whatever.
you did *not* say the rule, you said "you aren't allowed to report bots in the game." which is simply bullshit.

Question, how would anyone on this forum even know if you reported another bot without you outright admitting to it? And my realm isn't even on that list...
 
Oops, Sorry. For some reason all the posts after the one I RWQ'd didn't show up. So I got it, cannot auto get banned for reporting another bot. (I would NEVER do this, I was just 99% sure there was no way to know unless someone confessed to it. But my relm still isn't on that list.
