Mage question (Doesn't belong in any particular section..so)

Hello fellow botters.

I'm a fire->Frost->arcane->Frost mage.

I have respecced to frost since fire got the crap end of the deal.

Then i respecced to Arcane, expecting dps spike, as said by all guides, etc. And yes, I did reforge, regem everything according to guide as well as Mr.Robot.

Yet from testing lfr, dummies, raids and dungeons, frost seems to pull better dps.

Can someone explain it to me? my ilv is 519.

frost pulls about 40~k? better in lfr (using same profile/cr, even when i hand-play it)

on a site note, which is better, Nether Tempest or Frost Bomb? (For a Frost Mage)

Unless you're referring to something on the PTR I haven't seen Fire Mages get shafted on anything. According to Spec Score 25H - DPS Bot - RaidBots - Web Tools for WoW Nerds the fire mage is on top with top DPS. Highest spiked DPS is a fire mage, in ToT, spiking at 327k dps. Arcane was third in line, while frost was way down with only 197k. I've always seen fire on top for DPS.

But, like I was saying, unless something's changed as of 5.4 and the PTR, then Fire Mages are the top DPS mage spec.
