Would this PC run 8 bots ?

Hi

just wondering if this pc would run 8 bots at the same time, it will just be the bots running i wont be using it.


Operating System Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit
CPU: AMD FX 8150 3.6ghz x 8
Ram: 8GB
Graphics Card: PNY GTX 680
Motherboard: Asus M5A78L-M/USB3
Case: Antec 1200 V3
Hard drive: 1TB + 400gb SSD

the guy wants ?500 for it, it also has a 22inch monitor

Yeah but add another 8 GB of ram for like 50-100$ for everything to run smooth and up to 12-16 bots.
 
Its pretty nice price for that combo, strong background, but Goshinki is indeed right - you need much more ram for 8x wows.

$100 bucks for 8 gigs is close but still a ripoff. Right now you can get decent ram for $70 bucks on Newegg. Less if you use those sites that find discounts. G.Skill I think sells decent ones at this time.
 
go for 16mb ram atleast. also you not really need cool gfx card. most needed for bots is memory and cpu. i got 1100T, 16 mb memory, gts 250. running smooth 12 bots.

you dont need "gamer" memory, you can get 8GB stick 1600 MHZ for $40
 
thankyou for the replys, i checked out the motherboard online it takes up to 32gb so think i will go for it, the psu is 750 watts is that ok ?
 
ye 750 watts is good enough i have 750 wat to i run asus ati 7950 12 gig of ram and i5 3570 3.40ghz but this new month im going to get the Intel Core i7 3770K, 3,5GHz, 1155, Box

Why would you VM each bot? thats a really stupid idea, run all bots from the same PC, Virtualizing doesnt solve any problems and its harder if you motherboard doesnt support Direct I/O so WoW cant run at all..
 
i already vm/dedi ip every bot lol. i am just asking to know what ppl doing.

memory i go with 2GB/VM but i am currently trying to reduce it to 1GB/VM or less with some optimizations.

as for HDD you need 20GB for 64bit windows (10GB for 32bit windows) and 20GB for WOW with some safety/reserve lets say 50GB total, but most of this is duplicate so if you have 10 VMs with 50GB each you dont need 500GB just 50GB in total if you use some deduplication method for your hard disk (both VMWARE workstation and windows server 2012 have deduplication for hard disk built in)

So you're the reason were running out of ipv4 addresses.... 1 ip a bot total freaking waste.

No actually Blizzard is reason we are running out of IPv4 if they did not use IP address as form of identification (as a way to catch mass-boters) i would not have to use one IP for each bot :)
 
also there is 4 BILLION addresses and i am using 15 almost insignificant...

You really don't know a freaking thing do you there is big big shortage of ipv4 addresses even when there are 4 billion.

They don't use ip verification they may ban all your bots from your ip but using 1 ip per bot is a total waste.

I am aware that there is shortage of IPv4 i didn't claim otherwise, I am just saying that i don't use significant part of available addresses and that people and/or companies using bigger percentage should be ones saving not me (there are several companies with 16 million addresses reserved that they probably even don't use like ford or GM or whatever was name of that USA car company just because a lot of years ago default was 16 million address blocks when asking for them ...

for me it is cheap way to decrease chance for "linked" bans, since IPv4 is between $1 and $2 per month
