Guide for Gather botting with GB2, Doesn't all apply to questing ect =] Those are a lot safer.
Hello everyone,
I've noticed a lot of fear and people backing off a lot lately from gathering with GB2. Yes, there has been an increase in bans, but a little dash of common sense and ingenuity and you can avoid it.
First of all, I know people might be against this.. but.. avoid using random profiles ( now hear me out ), you will:
Second, use profiles that have 1500+ hot spots, this means you will not even come close to hitting the same hot spot again for at least an hour. Blizzard cannot keep track of you indefinitely as it would take way too much space on their servers to record, coupled with the use of randomize hot spots and with a factor of 1-5, you will not be hitting the same hot spots, but keeping on track for a good, clean and safe ore/herb run. Third, as always, don't spend a stupid amount of time botting in a row. Take breaks, bot a bg, do some archaeology, anything to mix up the routine a little.. As for gather botting, my general rule is 1-2 hours on a single zone profile, 3-3.5 on a dual zone and 5-6 hours on a multi-zone profile when using private profiles, when using public profiles halve those numbers.
Fourth, make sure you test your profile before you use it, watch it do at least a full lap before going afk for the first time you use the profile. Getting stuck and being player reported is the easiest way to attract a ban.

Sixth, the safest form of botting with GB2 is with a very large, tested, multi-zone private profile ( either having made it yourself or getting someone else like me to make it for you ) Using a very large profile negates the LCP detection + when you couple that with the randomize hot spots as mentioned earlier you will never hit the same hot spot for a very, very long time.
Seventh, don't send multiple mail box full of herbs/ore to a separate account, keep the banker on your account and dump in a shared guild bank, or have your farmer deposit directly into the guild bank. This is so you won't get flagged for sending so many items to a non linked account.
Eighth , don't post all your raw materials on the auction house, either find a private buyer to C.O.D. them too, or turn them into gems/flasks/pots/glyphs then AH

- get stuck on mobs and not avoid places of heavy combat, hence much lower NPH and drawing more attention to yourself
- not avoid LCP detection ( even though this is only part of the reasons people get banned ) Due to covering the same hot spots more then once, seeming 99% of random Gen profiles are small, even if you are changing every 15-20 min.

Tl;Dr :
- Don't use public or random profiles ( unless you cannot spend the time to make one yourself )
- Don't bot for more then 6 hours at a time ( half that time if running public profiles )
- Always use randomize hot spots with a low randomization factor 1-5
- Always use a large profile
- Never post all your raw mats on the AH
