Not really, since tripwire is not related to the auth server in any way.
 
it would be nice to get a thread going that tells how/what/where/when like the ban report format.

Send your Honorbuddy Key TO Tony the mod here so he can help you out. i dont get it why some guys get it i use honorbuddy since the beta in the beginning i never had a issue with tripwire going off.
 
sent key and log to tony. i hope you guys can do smtg with the information. but it didnt happen again (HB updated to lates beta after restarting it). still it realy freaked my out for a moment XD
 
Just a couple of things after reading the entire thread:

1. I got my account permabanned a month or 2 ago. Blizzard (in Europe) will never/ever state how they were able to detect you were using 3rd party applications. And believe me I have tried to get that information (mailed/phoned/...). That being said no matter what TOS/EULA you agree upon ANY and ALL contracts are void in certain parts of Europe if they have any clausule that is against the law in it. Some countries have changed this a bit by stating any paragraph is VOID in a contract if it is against the law. Also in most countries in Europe it is against the law for privacy reasons to scan outside of own software. That means even watching at the process list. All that being said, unless you start a lawsuit against Blizzard which WILL cost you more than the account itself ever did, they can simply state you used 3rd party software and ban you. I'm not saying nor denying the actually scan your computer for set 3rd party software. My point is merely that they will never state how they got the information. It could even be a fraps from a GM who followed you around that got you banned in the first place.

2. The tripwire in my belief is working as intended alltho I might have the concern some of you guys also have that they may be tripping it to spot the botters. Like the one said about astronomy and gravity pull usage to find planets. Unless you put a randomizer in it that automatically starts up WoW again and plays for a randomized time and then shuts down normally to mimic what a real player would do.

3. It would be rather silly of the DEVs to explain how the tripwire works as Blizzard people will also be looking through these forums and use that information to ban people. That would be like Blizzard stating on their forums how their detection mechanics work.

the problem is, blizzard does not need a real reason to ban you. And they don't tell you because of legal reasons - you could sue them if the violate a law (in any way).
if their coffee is too hot, BANWAVE!

i just had 2 of my honnobuddys shut down from tripwires i was running 2s with myself
 
So what exactly do we do at the moment? When will we know if save to start HB back up again?
 
It happened to me as well running DungeonBuddy to finish up LFR this week.
 
I just got it in the middle of a raid. Did a quick logout and tripwire came up.
