Item patch: Not before blizzcon (november)

Omg. I didn't expect that. Well, let me be the prophet of doom and foresee a huge drop in game activity and gold hitting floor within a week after this wonderful news.

It already hit the floor at eu... also.. I expected this, they will fuck up on every occasion.

This confirms my suspicions from couple months ago that they reduced d3 pc staff, probably most of the initial team has been reassigned to D3 console port, Titan, and perhaps xpac where real money for blizzard lies, leaving only few ppl slowly designing new content for diablo which is currently being played by mere couple hundreds of thousands ppl. This also shows how low this company has fallen, in old times within this time frame we would have an decent xpac alrdy.

Do they expect ppl to wait more than close to a year...note they said after november meaning it can de december or july next year.
In my opinion we need lader right now to buy them time.

Well, i only wonder if this thing with new itemization wont end like Arena PvP hype, where at first they promised great pvp implemented into game, then around release they said that they need some more time to work on it, after few months they scrapped everything saying that work up to date didnt meet their standards, only to finally release shitty brawling and delete all trakcs of earlier promises from their official websites. It seems that we follow roughly same sheme here, at first they made great hype with this new itemization, even released blog with some hazy deliberations, now they say that this stuff isnt comming for next 5 months, so i wouldnt be surprised if after those 5 months they quietly erase all tracks about this again, and attempt to redirect public attention with some new bullshit presented at blizzcon, till we finally see new pvp and itemization indeed in paid xpac. Guess they take ppl in general as idiots, perhaps under impression of their vanilla wow experiences where 95% players couldnt even complete pve content which engages intellect at pretty much retarded lvl.

That got me amazed. I don't know if the info is not true, or if whoever said it just commited a huge mistake, but telling a playerbase to wait a minimum of 5 months, probably a lot more, to get the "improved" content they have been advertising for a couple months, is just plain retarded. Better don't say a fucking word and just delay it, from a marketing point of view.

People was hyped when they talked about items patch. A lot of people thought it was coming on 1.08 till they said "No , it is not the items patch". Now, there's nothing to hold players to d3 on the horizon at all.

About the ladder, they have stated it wouldn't be done before an expansion.

No PvP, announcing features (if you can call new items a feature) a year before its implementation, rubberbanding, etc. Diablo 3 is the biggest failure I've come to witness.

Even wow is now receiving love , new patchs with new features every couple of months. I know they pay a monthly sub, but I don't understand How in hell are they supposing the playerbase will stay with no content, no endgame, no pvp, in a game for a year till the expansion.

Well Diablo 3 needs a MAJOR redesign anyway and hopefully the item patch is not only about items because if it is , it will fail
I hope this will be a second birth to Diablo3 and from my point of view i hope they succeed (because D3 managed to PISS ME OFF even as a botter )

D3 was an upfront money maker. They put unqualified devs on the job to do the best they could which turned out a terrible end product but the higher ups knew that the title alone would bring in millions of $.

Blizzard made their money as they expected on hype. The RMAH would have been a very steady stream of cash for quite some time if they would have put the effort into making it something worth the Diablo title but they chose the upfront money instead.

Now we get to wait for them to try to polish the turd that they passed off as a Diablo game and sell it on hype again with them spending as little of the money they made up front to fix it.

Maybe Travis Day can fix the items. They are def taking their time on that patch so maybe it will be worthy.

They still need better gold sinks to fix the economy and have any lasting effects, but a quality item revamp will bring back mass players and mass players will greatly help the situation from what little sinks are in place atm.

TL;DR Bought hype, wait for them to try to fix.

I'm also putting my money on Travis :) . he noobed up when he first came to D3(cos he didn't know the game) but he might be able to turn D3 around. (as wyat couldn't or didn't want to all this time)

We have hope again :D
