hey guys,

first of all: thank you for revealing the reason why even such a small patch might impact the botting security severely. better take your time to get it as safe as possible and ignore all the cry-babies.... just remember that there woud be faaaaaar more whining around when these peeps lose their accounts because of a detected bot instead of losing 1-2 days farming their asses for AH crap...

ok, so according to your provided info i wonder if using the normal plugins featured on this forum are safe when it comes to the point of the tripwire protection. in particular i am wondering about plugins like hbrelog. or are these addons covered by the integrated protection of HB and your auth servers?

I would assume all addons because they are connected and ran threw HB would be part of the same protection. Each addon isnt running separately at least to my knoledge.
 
Don't use HBRelog until you hear from Highvoltz.

Same goes for any other plugins - make sure the author is keeping them up to date. If in doubt, post back here with the plugin name in a day or so.
 
ARelog has the same protection as Honorbuddy. I've warned highvoltz about whats going on.

HBRelog has been safe till this patch so you don't have to worry.

I have a bit different question regarding what you said about the new detection methods. Does these effect P** Rotation Program from Ownedcore in any way?

I have also a question regarding the Status Update ;)

I don't really understand the message^^ yes of course I got it about the detection tool etc.

But does it mean the HB is running again now that you found out the problem?

I just tried the HB Beta, but didn't get a Update yet and is still for Buil 16xxx.

Is there maybe a link to a manuel download which I missed ?

ok first off think you so much. you`ll must of been up all night. coding is a bit(*. i`m just in the self taught beginning stag. and that's a pain. The other thing, I have to think you again, this is the first site i have been to with forums that try's and normally dose get back to its folk in time. keep up the good work

Could this effect remote desktop programs? such as splashtop etc

Were we exposed when our relogger updated wow on patch day ?

Will there be any elaboration on exactly what these new detection methods are? and how plugins are effected
 
Yes I personally would like to hear more about these measures. And as I know that you wanted to keep it under wraps for your reasons stated I personally would have liked an immediate heads up as a increase in detection would almost certainly dictate an increase in GM/Ticket/Whatever else they do server side detection as well and it would have been nice to know for those that have lost accounts in that time.
