Using a p r o x y to pose as a hacker victim when banned?

Hello HB Community,

As I'm sure many of you have been waiting for the new Tyrannical Honor Vendors to re-open like I have I am preparing for the mass botting-spree many of us will be undergoing these next few weeks. Now I'm botting on my main account with many titles and mounts that I'd be pretty mad about losing so I thought I'd take any precaution I can to avoid getting a perma ban.

I was considering running WoW through a p r o x y to make it look as if my IP has changed to Blizzard. My reasoning behind this is, I want Blizzard to think that my account has been hacked in the event of a perma-ban. I imagine they will be more likely to comply with my request to unban my account if they see a recent change in IP (to germany perhaps? ;]) registered to my account. So here's my question HB community. Do you see this making a difference? What are your opinions on using a p r o x y to imitate a hacked account given the unlikely event I will be banned for BG botting?

Thanks everyone, sorry if I overlooked a similar post however I did use the search function :P.

EDIT:

I didn't realize "P r o x y" is a censored word? Please delete my post if I am breaking some rules, but I don't know why that would be censored lol.

well, a few people mention that you should use this however!... however! I was banned for using one.

i logged my bot account and it said banned! - i thought damn they caught me, but i appealed and they lifted straight away but mentioned, i will get banned again if i keep using a *****, they did say they'll always unban me but, it will be a hassle for me.

I see, was this an immediate ban or did it take awhile for them to realize you were using a *****? Also, if you remember, what was the location of the ***** server you were using? I've been told if you shift locations in a short amount of time (Say.. from US IP to China IP?) it can trigger a flag on your account temporarily disabling your account until confirmation is confirmed via e-mail.

Try to avoid using a pr*xy .. paid, free whatever, doesn't make any difference : Blizzard is able to determine whether you're behind a pr*xy or not.
If they find out : instant ban - no 72 hrs probation whatsoever.

You _can_ appeal though and if it's your first offence, they will lift the ban.

Happened to me in a similar way.

You can avoid this account-block by using this battle.net token.
When you use this, you can go all over the world with your account without having to re-activate your account every time.

I see, did you figure out a way around this without using a pr*xy or did you just give up on playing the "hacked" card when banned for botting?

I'm not using a pr*xy anymore .. not sure whether using a pr*xy will help much against getting banned for botting anyway.

The idea is I want to make it look as if my account has been hacked (by changing the PW/E-Mail and logging in through a separate IP address via the *****).

Yeah i got insta banned, no warning or anything.

Regarding this, Blizz always say they are not responsible for your loss if you share accounts etc etc. So if you use a proxxxxx, and it states you are logging in russia on monday, egypt tuesday and africa wednesday etc, they are going to think one of the following:

1. hes paying people to play and the account will have been botted
2. hes sharing accounts with many friends worldwide.

but they can now detect a *****, and alot of people don't realize on this forum, an hours lesson on computer security, you will learn, not ALL packets are anonymous and some packets using certain TCP packets, can still be traced back to the original location. not sure if blizz uses these kinds of packets, but if they do, they will have the knowledge to trace it back if they really do wish to waste the man hours :)
