Hello everyone, recently a certain someone on Ravencrest EU has created a thread on the realm forums, it seems that someone pissed him off for good lol. He is daily hunting down bots all around azeroth reporting them, and stating name and armory profiles on the realm forums

So far, it seems that he only catches HB users around borean tundra, and 1-60 content. So far, not a single GB farmer has been mentioned in the thread.

Watch out, try and use some other profiles.
 
Woo he is defo pissed at something... Also nice to read the Ban in Waves form a GM, not always individually.

Can't blame him, it's just fun to see how people have set'd their bots and if they're as humanly as possible.

I'm not reporting people for obvious reasons though. :P
 
lol, now its not enough to be an ingame NERD without a RL, now people are working on caughting bots themself - damn!! fear the botting police!!

actually my old 80 hunter and old 80 mage (both sold) were both on ravencrest EU, sadly this botting cop didnt catch me, and i see my old chars is still active ;) gl to Cernunos.

this guy got no friends. epic fail. i loled hard about this: "If you have friends online (VoIP prefered); Play the Left'n Right game, where you - from the safety of your flying mount - predict when they will turn left/right (awesome drinking game if you want to get hammered btw.). "
 
If someone reports that thread it will be taken down. Posting characters names and claiming they are botting is against the forums ToU, the Naming & Shaming part. I've seen threads like this before and I just report it and it gets taken down pretty fast, and if they try to post it again they usually get perma-banned from forums.

He actually did mention the thread in a GM convo, and the GM said that in that case, it was fine.

Nothing has been done as of yet.
 
Honestly how funny would it be if a group on that server reported him for botting and got him suspended. be all like "I would like to report so and so, they act like a big ant-botter, but really they are just trying to clear the farming spots for their bots"

It's not that hard to spot bots, but what they do to the economy lasts for much, much longer than the time that they are in fact online.

if botters wherent around he wouldnt have gold to do anything, because all the gear/mats/herbs, everything would be 90g a stack. people are just idiots with no lives, i mean really, he should at least level to 80, and learn what the game is really about before he gets board enough to go "bot hunting"
as far as his stupid list
The armory version:
- BoE gear (often no trinkets even at high/max levels)
- One gathering profession
- VERY low achievement score (Most often just their level score + profession scores)
- No instances completed

The in-game version (varies depending on how well it's been set up):
- Follows in its footsteps again and again, these pre-set routes can be very small or very big depending on the bot - but if you follow them long enough you can place yourself as a waypoint and they WILL run through you. They are also prone to being able to become manipulated off their routes, in which case they'll get stuck/lost.
- No interactions other than a proximity macro with /greet or /hello, attempting to be social and thus not be noticed (when it does the exact opposite). They wont respond to whispers or group invites.
- Pet classes that seems to break down if you just kill their pet, standing around for up to 10 minutes at a time before resurrecting it.

almost all the things he mentions dont apply to honorbuddy users. (as long as they know about to setup everything right)
the only thing really yet to come along is a really good chat monitoring and reply plugin, but we have instancebuddy, and mixed mode pvp with grinding and questing, if anything what i get out of this, if you use everything you can in the program, and mix it up, you'll fool the people who hate us (botters) , and want to report you.
 
He quoted parts of these forum threads. So imho I vote for these forums to be accessible to paid users only, the way they are set up now anyone can read them (correct me if am wrong)

Totally agree with that. Should be a public & private area like other forums of this nature
 
I am totally creating a toon to level by over there and put the crappiest gear on it and just farm for hours by hand just to get this moron's attention.

From what it looks like, he's expecting the GMs to just start believing him... It's sad because he's totally kissing their asses to try to get on their good side which won't work.
 
well good to warn the people on there, but what he doesn't know is the bot is capable of more then just the usual bot.

what he aims for:

and well we get more then just BOE gear right? I'm if you don't then go upgrade already you should be able to afford it with GDKP runs.
I have 3k-4k on each farmer, not sure about you guys tough but it has everything nearly it can get with GB/HB.

Also instances? shouldn't be a deal using RAF and queue for a instance and complete it;)...especially not when instancebuddy is coming out.
 
We should all create alts on there just to give him a hard time
 
this guy just asking for some attention..his story is nice for reading before sleeping :p
