5.3 - Shuffling has died, what should we goldfarmers do?

I have been playing this game on and off for a few years and used HB since LK. The best way to get banned is to use your bot for over 5 hours on one profile use the mail to one toon and leave it unsupervised. Please be smart I have seen a lot of friends quit because we slip and blizzard catches us. They are getting smarter so use many accounts and switch often and watch from time to time and you will be ok

I have only been detected once. I got a ban and I appealed it and I got my account back. Here is my rules I follow since getting caught and haven't been since;

1. Don't bot everyday.

2. Use "LogMeOut" and only bot for 3 hours.

3. Using LogMeOut always hearth and sometimes shutdown your computer.

4. Have your computer shut down at 3am no matter what.

5. Try to avoid using level 1 alts as much as possible.

6. Avoid using GB2 postal button. Post the items yourself

7. Don't be too far away from your computer when botting. If it gets stuck, then it needs you to help it out.

8. Don't allow your bot to ninja anything. There is nothing more pissed off than a player who got ninja'd by a bot!

Botting for extended periods like 6+ hours only spells trouble. They idea is to not be greedy. I have 5 accounts I bot on. Never do I bot on the same account for more than two days in a row. Change your botting up. Use different profiles each time you bot. If you're skinning, then have 3 different skinning profiles in different zones.

If you're herbing and you use a mega route that covers the whole of pandaland, then go and farm some low level herbs ins in Northread or something. Blizzard looks for repeating behaviours. For example;

Sunday

Name: Milo
Race: Orc
Class: Rogue
Times logged on: 11pm
Location: Four Winds
Time spent in zone: 6 hours
Mobs killed: 600+
Skinned mobs: 550
Mailed to: Mybankalt

Monday

Name: Milo
Race: Orc
Class: Rogue
Times logged on: 11.30pm
Location: Four Winds
Time spent in zone: 6 hours
Mobs killed: 600+
Skinned mobs: 570
Mailed to: Mybankalt

and you keep repeating this over and over again, they will detect a pattern. It's all about patterns of behaviour. I don't make much gold from botting because I don't do it hardcore and I actually use the items I farm.

If you continue to sell your gold to the same person, on the same account, on the same character for very little in return, then Blizzards flags will go up and flag your account for review.

5.3 is looking like the beginning of the end for blizzard
Lets look at blizzards suicide check list
1. Ban all botters CHECK
.. wait make sure the price of mats goes 3x above reasonable so no one can afford them... ok next
2. Piss off legit subs with bad game changes and get them to quit CHECK
Alright perfect, now lets just make the game free to play, we're tired of handling money.

hahaha you make me almost pee in my pans

For the millionth time, CTM is NOT detectable server-side. Your character's velocity is a vector (it has direction and magnitude) and that vector looks the same no matter whether you're using CTM or WASD.

must be taking highschool physics or first year engineering smart little boy

Best part is all these random, unwarranted and one-sided buffs to classes that were already strong and just fine.
then again, my fire mage is getting pwnt. soo...

I think biggest problem is that people are too greedy.
they either try this thing and get lucky and star tto sell gold, thent hey're too hooked into it to control themselvse and get banned after having tasted a bit of cash.
It's a GAME. i understand if yu can/do make money off it, that's fine. if You've an established system tht works just fine, good.
But don't be that guy that gets greedy and comes here crying about "hide yo bots, hide yo cheats, hide yo profiles cuz they be bannin errybody out there"

How is the Shuffle not profitable any more? Can't see that being the case. I know many who still use it to process their gathered goods to diversify into various mats and make out quite well. Maybe it is server specific? Also, have you looked into other markets than Panda mats. I know myself, I make a fortune on Cata gathering then shuffle and sell that. One of the highest profit items from Cata is Hypnotic Dust for me. Basically I use Jasper to make Jasper rings, then DE the rings and sell the dust etc.

Also Illusion dust and greater eternal essence is another area I find fairly steady and still comes from a shuffle routine except for the Runcloth (Wizardweave Turban = godlike dust and essence). For Runecloth I either buy it when it is below a specific threshold and I do this always, even if I do not need it, but if there is a short supply, I use my 90 Warlock with 500% talent RoF and Burning Rush for speed, Ember Tap for Health and race through all of LBRS AOE the entire place stopping just for AOE looting of course. Takes me 10 minutes to clear it all and gets me 12 stacks of runecloth as well as other things to DE or sell. Currently trying to write a profile to do this tech for me.

Silk cloth is another item that tends to fluctuate and have periods of insane short supply and high prices. There is that spot out near Maris Stead in EPL which is non-stop Silk farming, could even be done with grindbot quite easily.

Honestly, the shuffle requires the user to really understand all aspects of what to shuffle into what and to be in many levels of shuffling, not just Panda. Pandaland mats are so "over harvested" these days. A lot fo time now I do not focus on Panda mats because of this.

Thanks for the tip, but I would like to do something that can be botted very easily, cata shuffle is a possiblity. :)

I'll stick to questing/cata shuffling for now.

Has anyone tried dungeon farming? And how profitable is it?

And well, my target was to earn 100k + gold a day, but now ?'m probably fine with 10k ;p

Yes It is very easy to Bot Cata mats for gathering and shuffling. Not much different than doing Panda Shuffle.

Questing run can also be good but I do it this way: Get a level 80 (SoR or RaF etc). Then use one of the various methods to bot 80-90 using Pet Battles (I use triple Mini-Mindslayers on No-no). What that does is means you hit 90 without ever doing a single Cata or Panda quest. Now you do all the quests with a 90, making them much easier and faster and get I believe, double gold reward because you no longer get the XP reward for the quests. Questing this way, more gold reward, faster questing time..more profit.

I have been told dungeon farming can be profitable if you know what to do and where and depends on your server market conditions etc. I do not do a lot of it though. Never found it to be that profitable and subject to RNG.

I do about 50K a day. I am only really doing Mop shuffle, Cata shuffle and Thorium shuffle along with selling into all the markets properly with TSM. I also find great profit in selling the plate Dreaded 458 crafted PVP gear. Ornate rings from the Mop shuffle that proc blue...also good money.

I used to chug along at 10K a day but once I really expanded my thinking...quickly grew to the 40K to 50K a day.

Really though, the secret is to really understand your server, the current market, be diversified and selling into all markets you can, be patient and build healthy stockpiles of inventory so you always have the mats on hand for when prices in one area rise due to short supply.

I do not flip blues and such, lots of people do say flipping items works great, but all it ever seems to do for me is I end up sitting on a bunch of rare items that hardly ever sell.

Can you elaborate a bit on the Cata/Thorium shuffle? I'd love to expand a bit like you did.

I'd like to take a moment and thank all of you for helping one another. These days we all need help and blizzard seems to be better AT catching us. So Ty everyone and keep up the good work lets stay safe and work to put the dick to blizzard.

pretty much get your fingers in as many pies as possible. the more pies, the more profit.

in terms of shuffling. just draw up a flow chart.... you start with ore, what happens with that. then what happens with the bi-products and so-on. just make use of every single thing in the chain until you have squeezed every tiny bit of profit out of that ore... (same rules apply accross all expansions).

setup a transmog farmer. seriously just do as many different things as possible.

here ian idea .... if you want to farm a few 1000 stacks of ore and make bank... start a long playlist sit down and farm it out by hand.

I don't get it... Why so secretive? It's a game. PM if you don't want it public. :)

if you ran your own glass pipe shop.. & I wanted to compete with you..with my own shop..

would you tell me where you got your cheapest highest quality glass ?

what about your regular reliable buyers would you refer them to me ?

To a point I agree with you, but then there are some of us who just want to make gold because we'd rather not risk trying to sell it or we aren't too interested in finding people/ places to buy. So letting a few of your "trade" secrets go, really isn't a big deal. Especially because out of the 7 million other players in this game, someone has probably already thought of it and is doing it.

This IS a community after all, helping one another should be higher on your priority list. Just my two cents.

I dont know what to do either.

After i got my farmer banned, and yes he farmed 5-6 hours daily for herbs and ores. Then i created a new account, and been farming 2 hours, then took a break for 4-6 hours.. Farm 2 hours again etc. I even ran some arena gems, dungeons etc to add some other activity to the character.

I supervised the bot 95% of the time on the screen next to me.

BOOM, still got banned.

I dont care what anybody says, i suspect gatherbuddy to be detectable somehow.
