Hello buddies

I've been searching the forums for tips and tricks for barbarians. And I have found some here and there, scattered everywhere.
I thought I'd start this debate to try and optimize my own barb bot, who's running with 230k dps (battle raged), 43k hp and around 450 @ farming MP4 or MP5 Act 1 (Festering -> Weeping -> Misery)
I use Trinity.

Here's what I've come to learn so far, after having been at this for a weeks time:
WOTB had avoidance issues, they seem fixed. I never personally experienced them.
Poison Plants from act 1 trees hurt and are hard to dodge, I've read (but not yet tested) that raising the dodge threshold to 100% hp should fix getting hit by these.
Whirlwinding works very well.


What I'd like to find out is;
What does it take to bot on MP10 as a barb?
I am trying to get keys from act 2 and act 3, but I can't find any profile that I consider barb friendly, any tips?
I am using 5 set Immortal Kings, is this the best option for botting?

Oh and if a topic like this already exists, please point me in that dirrection. I did not intend to repost.

- if you intend on botting mp10 ignoring elites try get at least 60k hp, 600 all res, 6-7k armor and go from there.
- never botted for keys so cant help you with this one.
- not for mp10. replace the helm with a str/vit mempo and you can replace the boots with ice climbers (no need for move speed you get 24% from innas pants + lacunis)

Thanks for the tips. I'd prefer not having to ignore elites though. Is that even possible for a barb?
 
not ignoring elites is significantly slower unless you want to spend billions on gear.

mp10 dont compensate killing elites, bot take too much time for kill them, its waste of time, you get better results killing elites in lower mp, normaly i like mp8 killing elites, and mp10 ignoring elites.
other thing for barb ppl there, immortal head with crit chance its better of mempo without crit chance. 5 pieces of immortal is waste too, you need atleast 2 for the resistances bonus, more of that its just if dont have anything better.
other thing i realise ppl using wotb in lower mp, that is a waste, because mobs die too fast for can keep wotb up, so better replacing wotb with other skill can end giving more damage uptime of wotb.
 
^ its not true - my stats is very good for killing elites fast

and its not wasting a time - 17 games per hour COTA its not slow

and only 1.5-2 death per hour very good for mp10
 
lol, if you say fast wasting 30 sec to kill a elite, or more. i have 300k+ unbuffed and waste around that with barb to kill a elite in mp10.
 
an TY for killing leets i have godly crafted items
nonstop craft rulz

and i know w/o leets i will have +1, +1,5 LPH but it not worth it
 
its all about what you prefer, in my case i prefer kill elites in m8 or lower of mp10, get high lph and essences with fast runs, in mp10 i prefer only white mobs, getting 4 lph more sometimes.

Will add on this, obviously you're going to need decent stats all around, including the ones that Poly has stated, but I do suggest you have as much EHP as you can, meaning higher Life Steal/LOH, and a larger life pool.
Although IK set bonus are good, they're not ideal, I wouldn't waste time trying to find a decent set, you can either factor in a Mempo with Str/Vita, or even a decent Andy's with Str/AllRex/LowFireDamage. However if you do go with the Andy's, try and find more Fire Resis on armors. Inna's and Lacunis aren't the required items as such, but you'll definitely need 24% Movement speed.
 
could someone add his stuff and his spell settings to have idea for the MP10 please.

This is the build I'm using

My barbs have roughly 60k hp, 500 all res, 200k-250k unbuffed dps and they're using LS Skorns. Running mp10 act 1 with ignore elites atm and it seems to be the best option for iph/lph, and also xp. Got one barb to 60 two days ago and she's already plvl 55 using only xp gem in head (cba getting a str hellfire ring).

I really wanted to bot them in a group but for some reason the followers tend to bug out and leave party, resulting in some downtime.

you must load your hero to the d3rawr and get at leat 700k EHP and 250k DPS for mp10

isn't wrath of the berserker getting nerfed anyway? whats the point of spending a bunch of gold on it?
 
i need help with activatin HOTA on my bot i tried everything and nothing happens ;/ can some give me a tip how to do this
 
I have an odd question, what are you all using for barb followers? Is it worth the gold to get the Buriza and make your scoundrel a mini CM archer?
