Gold = 2 cents per million, at best, bots are pulling in 700k a hour. 24/7 will net you about 18 ish mil, or 450 at most a month. This, in dollars, will give you at most about 9 dollars net in gold alone. You will be lucky to get an item that sells over 5 bucks in that time period either.
All in all, with a good bot going 24/7 you probably will bring 10-15 dollars in at best per month; and that's being generous.

I'm done arguing about this. If you want to live off in some fantasy land where you are making $100+ a bot a month then by all means do so, but don't spread complete bullshit on the forums about it. From any sort of profit standpoint, D3 is pretty dead. The economy is gone, period. You either sell your gold via ah, after cuts for less than 2 cents per million, or 1 cent per million to a third party site.

Realistically, selling unids/gold from a paragon 100 nets about 50~75mil a day. Since 10mil nets about 0.20 after cuts in RMAH, its about $1~$1.50 per day. It will take a month to recoup the costs. Get banned before a month, its loss for you. 100 bots can net you $100~$150 a day but managing 100bots=Full time job! Subtract the electricity cost from 10+ computer youll be running and profits are even less.
Not worth investing into keys after the next banwavea imo. Who knows if theyll be starting to ban d3 like they do in wow; every day!

Your numbers are a bit off there.
A single bot isn't going to bring in 50-70 million average a day, unless you are doing some sort of exploit. 800k a hour (which is pretty good for a bot, unless you want to spend 5 billion on gear), will get you about 19 mil in gold alone over a 24 hour period - and again, that's probably being generous. With drops, unless you get really lucky, you are maybe looking at another 10 million realistically. All these are pretty much optimal scenarios..but there is no way you can sustain at 50-70 million a day average per bot. In reality you are looking at 50 cents a day if your lucky, without electricity and whatnot.
You are right about having a giant 100 bot army though, you'd probably make some decent cash if you had the hardware to handle it -- even then you are looking at 5-6 higher end computers which would suck even more electricity, etc. Hell of a job to maintain all that.
There are d2 banwaves, they are few and far between - i dont even remember when the last one was. I remember getting back in to it a few years ago and getting banned due to yamb or d2jsp or w/e being detectable. At this point the economy is so tanked they probably don't give a shit.
