Hello, like many of you I use gatherbuddy2.
When MOP launched farming herbs and ores were insane. I rushed through many characters to 90 just to be able to fly farming. I didn't give a shit about the game content, it was a rush to earn solid gold. Hell, I even leveled a couple of 90s PURELY from mining/herbing exp on a ground mount.
The spawn rate of herbs were insane, fools cap were everywhere in dread wastes and every stack of ore went for 150g each.
Good things don't last and Blizzard eventually hit the node spawn with the nerf hammer.
But this is the thing about ban rates. Why are gatherbuddy ban rates so high now? You could leave gatherbuddy on for hours last time.
I think the main reason why is because of Botters reporting botters. If bossland would reveal the surge of HB keys being bought since launch of MOP/end of dragonsoul it would really help reinforce my suspicion. This new generation of botters are retarded selfish fucks. I've seen many a buddy on this forum claiming they report botters despite being a botter themself.
Think about it, the surge of botters rise dramatically way faster then cataclysm. On my realm I notice during cata the prices of herbs and ores drop drastically ONLY during dragonsoul. Prior to that, prices were pulling their weight of 100g or more per stack. Until the last moments of cata do then prices drop to a pathetic 10g/stack for elementium ore.
Sure, MOP is around the corner of course cata mats prices will drop you say. Okay true, thats a solid argument, now lets look into how fast prices drop during MOP.
Prices start during MOP launch at 200g a stack as usual for just launched expansion, everyone scrambling to farm mats. I myself sold saronite at that price too during WOTLK launch. Then it quickly dwindled. and before the 5.1 daily patch even released, the prices of ore dropped to 40g/stack. Its currently 45g/stack on my realm.
And thats before 5.1 dropped. Elementium ore stood their ground until end of dragonsoul and the death of cata. Ghost iron dropped before the first patch launched.
How many of you received a "reported" whisper from another player while gathering in VOTFW or w/e area during the early days of MOP? And how many of you then tracked down the person who whispered you and find out he is also a bot flying on the same public profile doing the stupid obvious HB mount movement ( move back, fly up, move left ) and then he hasnt been online since MOP launch with full ungemmed 458 PVP gear?
I have. Many a times I've received this whisper and found out he too is a buddy and it pisses me off. If you guys think this is some "psychological" warfare where you can scare off other botters by actually reporting or pretending to you are just destroying your own market because trust me, somewhere out there a douche is doing the same to you. This mentality has to stop.
And to those who claim GB2 is detected, its not. I myself have been using GB2 in very limited amounts of 30mins in parts. I run it about 6 times a day with a scheduler. And I haven't got banned. I am a profile writer myself, making private profiles and a GB2 profile is one of the EASIEST SHIT ever to make. All you need are node hotspots, a mailbox and a repair vendor to fly to if needed plus some blackspots if you want. Its THAT easy.

Set "Don't ninja nodes" in bot config on and don't whisper "reported" to buddies thinking you're hot shit.
