Dead bots trying to pick up items :/

Following the 1.08 change there are many more white mobs than before and they literally block your path.

When bots are trying to pick up stuff they stop whatever they were doing before, such as WW or Tempest Rush and try to walk to the items. It had been fine because in the past there weren't so many white mobs and they rarely block the path of bots when bots were trying to pick up items.

Post 1.08 I have seen several times that, a monster dropped a legendary item, my WW barb stopped WWing and tried to walk to pick it up. But it's blocked and stuck by the mobs and died, and then later inactivity timer kicked in and the bot left the game...leaving an unID'd crossbow (hellrack :p) on the ground.

It appears to me that bots will finish up mobs before trying to pick up rares but for legendary items the bot stops fighting to pick up.

Just wondering can anyone help forcing bots to finish up mobs before trying to pick up legendary items?

It should know better than to walk *through* a monster to pickup an item. Legendary items do have a much greater importance (just slightly less than that of an elite/champ monster). It also should automatically WW from point A to point B if there are any monsters in that path. Was this just a rare case or do you see this happening over and over again? Sometimes weird stuff DOES happen, it's difficult to account every possible condition, but we try...

Yes for legendary items, it stops combat and walks to pick it up every time (all happened in the crypt of ancients and field of misery). I enabled 'Combat looting' last night not sure what it does and have never enabled it before :p.

Yes that's the setting I'm looking for, how can I make the priority for legendary items the same as rare items? Thanks

but legendary items are more important than rare items, so why would you do that?

it's more important to work out why it had the trouble getting to it in the first place.
 
Figured I'd post here as it's the only other such thread that I've seen and I thought all the info should remain in one place.

I'm having precisely the same issue, I'm running perfectly at my 70m xp/h, great gph and iph and all that, then a legendary drops (which is good!) and the bot stops everything and just stands there blocked by a circle of mobs trying to grab the legendary. I find quite a lot of legendaries and this issue really tends to harm efficiency for me.

It's not a rare issue and happens every time there are mobs around when a legendary drops.
 
I've had the exact same problems several times as well. I think I am particularly affected, because I run Crypt Of The Ancients, which is a very tight area with a lot of bottlenecks. I tell myself that it's only an occasional issue, but it would be nice to see it fixed.
 
I also have this problem, bot surrounded trying to pick a legendary items, tries to walk but it can't as it is surrounded and dies.
 
I tweaked this in the next version... should be less stupid :)
