overview
PixelAddict is a project designed to provide a fully-automated and complete 1-90 leveling experience utilizing pure questing. While there are various other projects in various stages of completion that work to achieve the same goal, I fully believe that having options and diversity when working with game automation is the safest route possible.

The profiles included utilize a path from 1-90 that is not only designed to be a safe alternative, it is also designed to produce the fastest automated questing experience available, along with various extra profiles to help you maximize your character with examples such as professions, reputations, dailies, and more.

current state
I originally started the backbone of the profiles a year and a half ago. Real life happened, and time spent devoted to development took a major hit, resulting in the profiles never going public and being a project I have worked on privately. After reaching around 60% completion on both factions, development completely stopped for months. Now, I am picking the pieces back up, and going back to square one and re-working my way through the profiles from the beginning.

As milestone profiles are completed (1-5; 5-10; 10-20), they will be released in a testing state. After thorough testing, they will be set to a finalized state and moved towards an archive for the final release of the profile pack.

Warning: This profile and all related materials are currently in testing phases. While that does not render the content unstable, it does leave room to properly adjust expectations while using the profiles through the testing stages. You use this profile at your own risk. I, nor any other contributor, is resposible for any actions or damages that could be caused from downloading or using any content related to or contained within the PixelAddict project that is supplied from a reliable and official download source or otherwise.

want to help?
I am by no means a know-it-all. As a matter of fact, I probably have less experience creating anything like this than most people. However, I'm determined and stubborn, so I've made my way quite well. But I'm a realist and completing a full 1-90 questing experience is an extremely complex task but it is something that can be done as we have been shown by other authors. I do acknowledge that reaching out for assistance and help could and would definitely be beneficial for the project. If you are someone who is experienced writing questing profiles and would like to contribute to the project, please don't hesitate to shoot me a PM or message me on Skype. Skype contact can be found on my profile.

Good luck.

:)

Why, thank you!

Once Comcast decides they're going to quit with the "upgrading" internet speeds today in my area and my net works for more than 5 minutes consecutively I'll have starter profiles available for public testing.

Sounds promising at least, will be interested in testing these profiles once you release them.
Good luck!

I feel for ya comcast is horrible. At least in fort worth, tx and shreveport, LA

How will this be different than Kick's profiles?

An easier question to answer would of been, "how is this similar to Kick's?"

The original profiles entered development in 2011, but since then, we've seen another expansion or two launch, as well as a host of questing profiles. Kick's profile didn't exist in the form it's in today when my profile's development originally started. Kick utilizes a lot of custom behaviors and whatnot for his profiles, which to my knowledge, were developed along with the profiles.

Kick's profile, along with other questing profiles, utilizes it's own very specific leveling flow. These profiles will make use of a completely different questing flow than Kick's, and other profiles available. Will some of the quest flow be the same? Probably; there's only so many zones, quests, and combinations to do them in.

However, my main personal goal behind developing this is a two piece: to complete something I started quite a while ago. And to provide an alternative 1-90 experience. Why should YOU care, or want, an alternate 1-90 experience? Variety.

Hello all,

Have been dealing strenuously with my ISP (Comcast) since they started upgrades in my area a few days back. So basically, more personal excuses resulting in more delays! But alas, a small preview featuring the Orc 1-5 area! I have all of the other race starting areas (1-5) reworked and completed, as well, just need to run them from start to finish to test before uploading.

Also have reworked about 98% of horde 5-15, as well, meaning it will be uploaded within a day or so.

Hello all,

Just made Durotar [5-8] available for download and testing, which will be used obviously for the Orc and Troll quest flow.

Troll 1-5 will be made available later today, and working on getting the SVN created and ready for use.

It's gonna take a long time with lots of work to do, but I hope you will finish this sooner or later.

Some important things of note:

  • 1-64 Alliance is complete.
  • 1-58 Horde is complete.
  • MOP dailies are about 75% complete.
  • PixelAddict gathering profession profiles are about 65% complete.

Now, with that said, the primary purpose of PixelAddict isn't just to provide a leveling profile, it's to provide a suite of profiles that fit general needs. This includes leveling, dailies, professions, as well as other various profiles that are being created/submitted and fully-tested and included in such as, for example, a profile to farm an NPC for a specified mount (I'm referring to Baron's mount specifically here).

I'm limited with a lot of custom behaviors and actions due to not having solid assistance in the development, and the fact that really, I'm not a coding/writing guru by any means. A lot of the progress I am making with custom behaviors is asking outside assistance, dissecting materials that are currently available, and working with a guy from campus who is helping here and there with things that get above my head in the realm of custom behaviors.

But, by far, the most time consuming aspect so far has been thorough testing. I absolutely need to get some people on the back-end who can assist with testing before the profiles are added to the SVN.

PM me. I can probably test your profiles. Both horde and alliance.

Good luck with this! Looking forward to giving it a try. I think its a great idea to have an alternate to Kick's. Not that there is anything wrong with Kick's... It would just be better to have people using different profiles.

Good luck! I'll test this out when I have time!
