Ill share how I did mine via Nod 32 Eset Smart Security
"You must be logged in to a Character to do this trick.
Step 1
View attachment 88069
As the screen shot suggests you need to be in the Setup and Firewall view.
click on Rules,
If you are not seeing the option You may need to activate your Advanced options, which should be at the bottom left hand below all other options.
Step 2
View attachment 88070
In this picture you create a new rule,
Using out as your direction and deny as your actions
Tab over to Remote Ports and add port 1119
Step 3
View attachment 88071
To view this right click the start bar icon and click "show network connections"
Expand the application and then deny the access for 1119. This should close the port.

Enjoy your peace and quiet.

PS to enable, you need to allow the remote ports via step 2. Restart WOW and walla :)

Once you disconnect from Battle.Net You may re-enable the port and as long as you're not disconnected you'll remain offline.
You will need to enable flow to log back into the game due to the Real ID link to your e-mail login via B.Net

If you're having problems connecting, remember... to modify the directions flow. It must be allowed to connect, and denied once connected.
However if you become disconnected and have login issues, allow the flow and only switch the directions to out and that should fix it.

Someone at OwenedCore made a simple script to turn it on and off at the press of a button, years ago.
All you have to do is load it up, press 1 button, and it's done. Much easier for the less versed people.

I'm unsure what this is supposed to do as all the attachments don't work (maybe upload to imgur link?)..is it specific to eset? does it make botting Safer, or simply disable a popup from eset or something?

It turns off RealID dude...

The Tool actually doesn't work for me. Which is why I use this method. It's not like it's a difficult Trick to do either.

First posts seems a little confusing tbh.. You block the ports after you're logged into the game, before you log in, or "that port is only used for realid and you can do it whenever"?

Lol, that's rather a silly question though, it's like asking if you can run honorbuddy while World of Warcraft isn't running...
Well tbh, the trick should only be used for about 10 seconds once you deny the connection while the ports closed. Because you'll need to have access with port 1119 to login,

Well if that port is only used for the realid system then you could do it before logging in. I have heard different people say do it after you login to your account, or for a few seconds before logging into your charcter/loading screen, all types of crap.

Not sure who told you, you could disable real id without being logged in. Since Blizzard requires the authentication of e-mail which is linked to your rl id. With that being said, if Wow isn't running your connection view would not even register in the network connection section. so I think it's pretty self explanatory as to what needs to be done before you can even disconnect Rl Id.

Iirc, you need windows firewall enabled, but if that doesn't work for you idk.
You're right, it's not rocket science, but it's easier with the push of a button!

* If you turn it on before you log on, you'll get a connection error and won't be able to get in.

* If you do it while you're ingame, you'll lose RID functionality immediately, and people will see you "log off" a few minutes after that. I have not tested what happens if they whisper you in that timeframe, though I imagine you'd either not get the whisper, or they'd get an error saying you're offline.

* If you turn it on while on the character selection screen, and immediately log on, the outcome will be the same as if you had done it from inside the game (see previous point).

* If you turn it on while on the character selection screen, but wait 5-10 mins before actually selecting a toon and loading in, you'll never even come up on RID, and anyone that opens their friend's list will see that you were last online the last time you were online without this "tool on".

Normally, if I don't want to be bothered (or I'm running my AH bot), I pick the last option, so people don't even know I was online.

Hope this clears it up :)

EDIT: Forgot to mention that if you do this while playing Diablo III, you'll get automatically disconnected. But it works fine for WoW!

Lol, you make it seem like what I did with Nod32 is that hard... it's actually simple once you have the settings down all you're doing is step2 n 3 and it's pretty damn simple if you ask me... The button pushing gig doesn't work because the firewall doesn't actually use the same commands to turn off for all OS. For me it said something about the advanced port function shut off command unreadable.

No, it's not, but it requires more than a push of a button! If it doesn't work for you then dismiss my advice and keep doing whatever it is you're doing.
I like things that work at the push of one button!

But in all honesty with you guys, I prefer to run my anti virus to block shit rather than download a tool that I can't really trust, Scanned the hell outta that program before I ran it, I guess I could always get back into Delphi and program something similar but I just don't think it's important enough to waste my time making such a tool. As far as the RL ID shut offs concerned, I just wanted to share the trick because my best friend also uses wow and hb yep I got him here too. So initially it bothered him when people whispered him while he botted and I thought about using the Anti virus to solve that issue rather than have him get a program which may do more harm than good.

To each their own :)

Hello,

Looking to try to hide me from the Real-ID But it seems it doesn't work anymore. Or maybe i made a mistake ?
I made a new rule under the firewall from windows for the 1119 port, and i launch it when im on the Character selection screen. But im disconnected all the time.

Do you guys have an idea about this prob? Is that fixed? or maybe is there any new tips to hide ? ^^
Don't know if you guys still using this method ...

Thanks

EDIT: Oh i forgot to mention this, i'm under Diablo3 :)
EDIT2: Oups sorry i didn't saw the post of toney. SO it seems it's impossible under diablo3. Blahh ^^
