Druid CC - Expressions of interest and ideas

fps I was digging around and the attacking hunter pets I think could be fixed in the druid.cs file in class helpers where on line 96 if there was a extra check there for the lowest health mob being a pet and return null the target wouldn't be switched. The CC always chooses the hunter first in practice from just watching it run just when it re-evaluates targets the pet ends up being the lowest health and also closest therefore it changes.

Just got level 80 with this CC, Great job and many thanks.

Problem tho: Feral pvp doesnt work (at least for me) Druid will just stand there in no form and target other players (on my team) and watch them die :/

hey fps do you plan a modus for raids or instance mode?
without healing and stuff for dps?
cheers

This got a lot faster at 20 when I got cat form, nice work.

I'm doing a bit of work on Balance combat, here is what will change in the next release:
  • Proper use of Nature's Grasp and Entangling Roots; if the target is debuffed it will now run to the most suitble location away from all hostile mobs (similar to the Mage Frost Nova videos). Obviously it will not do this if the target is a caster.
  • Will ont spam Wrath completely draining your mana; it will leave enough for you to heal yourself.
  • (Balance only) When you run out of mana it will move into melee range and attack with your weapon.
  • Will no longer cast a healing spell if a simple DPS spell will kill the target.
  • Fixed a bug with spell casting range; there was a "1 yard" bug where the character would stand there not casting. (when checking a value in two different places, make sure the value has not been modified along the way)
  • Added Innervate
  • Fight or Flight! If you're low on health and mana and the target won't die anytime soon, the character will run away. But it won't just run in a random direction, it will run to a location without any mobs in range and it will keep running to a safe distance until the mob gives up. If you somehow manage to get aggro while running away, it will simply keep running... and running.... and running until its out of combat.

Hey, might just be me, but I didn't see anyone ask this. Druid is 18, yet the CC never uses travel form to move around. Does that part of the coding only kick in at 20 when cat form becomes available?

Travel Form works from the level you receieve it, but it will only swap to Travel Form when HB's Poi is one of the following and the destination distance is more than 50 yards.

Moving to ... Repair, sell to vendor, quest turn in, quest pickup, mail, train, buy from vendor, innkeeper

Not too sure what the issue is then. Since I got travel form at 16, it has never used it.

New Feature comming soon... Fight or Flight

Currently only used for Balance spec but can be adapted for all trees.

The settings are completely user definable so you decide when to run away like a girl.

You can't see it in the video, but the characters helath and mana dropped below the set level and it decided the best thing to do is RUN! Either side of the character there are 2 x Black Dragon Whelps, so is runs in the saftest direction. Once the boar gives up and you're out of combat the characters sits down to eat/drink.

looks nice - maybe nature grasp can be used on the run away part?
looking forward to it, and a usable cc config ui ^^ doing great fps

Nature's Grasp is already being used for this 99% of the time.

W T F !! You didn't read the very first post did you??? Here is what you would have seen, I don't understand how anyone can miss giant red lettering.

The UI is only for show, it is not attached to the CC. Its only there so you can see what it will do and how it will work. Now, maybe you can actually read where it says "The UI is only for show". Don't give me bullshit about not being able to see it.

Fpsware, any plans on introducing a healbot function for instancing/battlegrounds?

Yes, eventually. But not for a long time.

Thanks fpsware for your effort on building this cc.

my problem is that It doesn't save my settings, I've read all posts regarding this issue and your answer was check the first post (( this UI is only for show)). so, how can we use your cc if it's only for show. hehe

also I'm running HB 1.9.5.9 , does it work with this HB version???

This (Druid CC) was released as a "proof of concept" build, it was not released as a finished product. As such, it does not have a working UI. If you want to change any settings, well, you're simply out of luck for now :)

I don't add a UI to the CC until I'm happy I've got all options / settings for each tree planned out. It takes about 5-8 hours to attach the UI to the code and test it. But if I decide to make changes in the settings or in the UI itself I need to make the appropriate changes in the UI code and this is a time consuming process.

Almost all of the settings on the "Common" tab are linked accross all classes / CCs. So, if you want to change the Eat/Drink levels you can go into the Hunter CC and change them there, and the Druid will use the same rest values. But as for class specific settings you will need to wait until the CC is at a point where I'm able to attach it.

FYI... editing the XML file directly WILL NOT change the settings. The Druid settings currently in the XML file are for the old Druid CC and they do not apply to this CC.
