I have a friend that wants to start botting.

he has windows 8 64 bit.

the issue is, is that in d3 he can click start, the game loads.
he can change the game to window mode.
but if he leaves game and then try's to make a new game in window mode, the game crash's a few secounds after hitting resume/start while in the loading screen.

--- this issue is not bot related.
Does D3 itself have logs? would those be helpful? does anyone have any ideas on what we can try?

we already try'ed going into documents/d3prefs - delete
we also deleted %programdata% and deleted the blizzard folder.

still having the same issue.

step 1: De-install win 8
step 2: install win 7
step 3: install D3
step 4: ???
step 5: Profit (if you manage to get a sell though)

Does he have the d3prefs from the CPU reduction thread? I believe it will automatically set it to window mode when he starts up d3, maybe that will work?

Lmk, good luck Cone :)

He can set it to window mode, the issue is is that when he clicks start as window mode, it crash's
but if he does it full screen... it loads and then he can switch to window mode once the stupid map loads... so dumb :(

Has he gone into task manager and set D3 to a High Priority instead of just Normal?

Tell him to close MSI Afterburner if it's running. Check the Task Manager Processes and end it there.

Get him online so we can figure this out!!

its probably a SET_UP .. so that he has to pay money to get it fixed lol jk.

Just go into Task Manager and end all processes aside from the basics, mine looks like this..

Something may be running on there that's interfering with his graphics card.
