Anybody else think that with the release of Heart of the Swarm, there are even less players playing D3 now than before? If so, that could be affecting the gold sales since less people playing = less people buying

Are you really phrasing this as a question? You know the answer to this already and so does everyone else....

new game = less people
less people = less customers

Definitely possible, yes. D3 is in it's worst state ever and I don't think they are gonna release a content Patch within two months. By then Gold will be @ 2 cent per mil, content patch will push it back to where it is now (4-5 cent per mil) imo.

emerald is already 1.9 , others are 1.3 by weekend next week radiant emerald will be 1 :D . who wants to bet ? i put 100m

dude even sim city is stealing customers at this point = if a shit game like POE can affect d3 then anything can and will.

Its rather at least 3 months - 1 month till 1.08 which is another garbage, and then another 2 months for itemization patch.

yeah i know, i just try to not be too negative about it. i'll get out my crystal ball:

price will never reach 10 cents again. until that itemization patch which will be released in 3-5 months goldprice will hit 1 cent per mil. that patch will bring back some people boosting gold price to 4-5 cents for maybe a month. it might even hit 7 cents per mil but that's it. not much to expect.

about 2-3 weeks after that patch demand will go down again, 3-4 cents per mil at best. then leave it another month and it's at 1 cent per mil again. big gap until expansion then.

if you managed to get 2-3 dedicated computers for botting this game while it was worth it, it might still pay your rent the next few months. that is, if bannings stay rare.

Lot of my friends moved to PoE, SimCity, HotS and one even went back to TF2 full time. D3 is very close to dead, you will see RSEmeralds going for 0.25 in a couple weeks and of course the Chinese/Moldovians will still be happy because 0.25 / day is enough to pay rent and 3 meals.

only 1 good thing can come out of this guys.....no more banwave as blizz are bz with sc2, and not like they gonna ban they few players still left. Out of all the accounts still active on d3, probably 1% arent bots. Haha. Good luck to the 1% playing themselves if blizard decides to ban.

So, bot away everyone.

- Yep, Patch 1.08 is not the itemization patch.
- Itemization patch should be at least 2 patches before Expansion hits.
- The final patch before Expansion will be the "Crazy Buffed Drop Rate patch" aka "Please buy expansion patch"
- Decreased drop rate will only be implemented when expansion is released. Makes sense and cents for Acti-Blizzard marketing.

Diablo 2 was the same ,until Expansion was a dead game...( 80% from you didnt played d2..you we're too young ) , so lets hope exp will release faster !

But i wonder , when Expanstion will be on , what will happen to the people invested 500-1000 Euros in chars? Blizzard said they dont implement rmah in HC because player die and lose all equip , is the same with expansion patch right?:) , new chars new items bla bla

Short ver: New exp = New content + New chase + New items tier/ilvl = Spend more $ to stay competitive

It was the same argument Blizzard gave in each and every WoW expansions on "why the previous highest tier raid gear sucks VS the lowest green items in newest expansion".

I think MP0 ilvl64 expansion mobs should be equivalent to MP5 ilvl63 classic mobs.

The problem is that expansion won't arrive until X'mas 2014 to June 2015. Titan comes out before X'mas 2015.

Not sure if you want to stay with D3 Exp or switch to Titan by then.

Even runescape is affecting Gold sales. Diablo 3 is terrible.

Titan does not have any release dates disclosed, everything is based on rumors as far as i know. Regardless, i think best move will be to invest into diablo x-pac which should return nice profits for atlest first month or two, and later move to titan, which certainly will be separated by few months from d3 xpac, they wont bo so stupid to make sales of both interfere with each other.

Thing is that everyone expected that with Diablo 1-2 experience, and 10 years they will make it great game from the beginning.

Things are in the dumps for sure. I'm just going to farm up gold and keep posting as little chunks here and there still sell. It'll just pile up until something happens to make it sell again, at which time I'll have 10s of billions most likely.

gems screwed the marked. You can get like 100m gold from buying radiants for like 7 EUR / USD (possibly less) and then selling on GAH for 30m. Thats why people with brains aren't buying gold, they buy gems cut they are multiple times cheaper than gold.

SC2:HOTS is not affecting the gold sales, maybe only in a minor way.
