Disable follow to catch bots in BG. ( blue post)

The bans come from reports, people are more aggresive reporting others and GMs investigate alot faster. If you dont bot 24/7 and watch your bots you will never get banned. If you bot 24/7 they will ban you without checking anything ( so monitoring wont help ), if you bot like a human with breaks and shit, they are forced to make sure you bot, so they teleport you around first and stuff, if you watch it, you wont get hit. Ive expierenced this like 3-4 times already.
 
i think they are using the heatmap thing as well. i was banned using a modified public GB2 profile where about 40% of my pathing was the "same" as a public profile. honestly, i wasn't seeing that many bots there either with 200nph just herbing.

Did you ever use one of the poseidus herbing profiles?

They worked fine for a long time, then one day everyone using them started all getting disconnected when crossing this one ridge.

I think that shows that there's at least some amount of attention paid to public profiles by blizz.

How about reversing and looking at the WoW client code and warden code and seeing what information is collected and what is sent to the server? Simple as that.

I think what people do is use multiboxing addons to do the follow part and use lazyraider or w/e to bot.. im sure a lot of ppl like to have a healer follow them around. ppl talked about that a lot on pirox forums

as far as them disabling /follow, its ONLY going to affect /follow bots. (since we dont use /follow in battlegrounds) its not an issue. for the life of me i cant remember the last time i ever saw a /follow bot in battlegrounds. 2010 called and it wants its honor leaching programs back.

My thought is that this is more of an attack on multiboxers, which are also pretty unpopular in bgs. Rather than go on the offensive agianst multiboxers this is a "anti botting measure".

Yeah i agree, i think this patch is more to stop multiboxer from zerging into BG. Cause you all see these 5 dks dg player by player and zerging em down.

100 percent safe? The moment you open your bot and attach it to your game then you are never going to be 100% safe. If you bot, you always take a chance of getting banned.
 
I have been multi-boxing for years in BG's and have found fellow players cheer me on, while the opposing teams have posted hateful threads with Blizzard. Recently, a multi-boxing friend of mine was suspended for 30 days by Blizzard who said he was an "honor hog" in BG's. So I knew the day would soon come when they would stop us from having our fun. Yet, the whole time I was boxing I even knew of a Blizzard employee in customer service who was also doing it for awhile. So with all the complaint reports on me, I knew I was doing nothing wrong. But I always knew that Blizzard could end our fun in a heart-beat by turning off the follow command.

So now that I can't box BG's, I will continue to Bot until the time that all of my accounts are banned, rather than to quit the game for now. I find that botting is fun for now, but I will eventually leave WoW forever when all of my accounts are gone. Let's see how long I survive. LOL

So you're telling me the source has been completely reversed and you are 100% certain that NO CTM/IWT information is being sent back to the server?

If so then there is nothing more to discuss on the subject.
 
Tons of LOL players play wow and use CTM - TONS. CTM is fine. I think the theory crafting and scaremongering need to stop before one of you blows out your neckbeard or pocket protector.

I have been botting on the same account since early glider days. Sometimes carefully sometimes not so carefully (survived the may hammer). You can speculate all you want but you still arn?t right. Sell gold and blizz will hunt you, collect alot of player reports and blizz will ban you. If you bot once in a while and not fucking up a servers AH/Economy they don't give a fuck (unless x players reports you and they feel obligated to take action).

If they really wanted to take down all botters, don't you think a multi billiard company would have the resources to do so ?

tl:dr 50 stacks of random item on AH fucks up economy, x player reports and they have to do something to look good.

I have been selling gold since july last year, my account hasn't been touched.

The bans from 40+ accounts, the bans from 20+ accounts, and all the bans that happened in these last 2 weeks, I even got 6 accounts banned, and only bot for like 10h to 12h a day.
