Getting an error with new patch!

Keep getting this error after downloading the new patch. I run the game Windowed, 32 bit enabled and with Direct X 9. What can I do to get it to work? Never had this problem.

Honorbuddy v2.5.6805.535 started.
Logging in...

Gotta wait for a update every patch. You can look at the beta builds for early relases but it's not always working.

Ah okay, I appreciate it.

I looked around and didn't see any posts that related to this, thought I'd make a topic about it. How long does it usually take for the update?

Try reinstalling HB. Due to 5.2 coming out it's now a different "Build" or version of wow.

Every time Blizzard updates any game, the Devs of Honorbuddy, Demonbuddy, etc. have to release their new updated version in order to work out the kinks that Blizzard may have added to the game, etc. Thats just common knowledge in any aspect of any type of electronic device. Take "Google Play" on Android for instance... every time Android updates their system, you'll notice every single App you have installed on your phone has to update in order to mesh with the updated version of Android.
 
The first thing I did was install the newest version offered on the downloads page. It's still having the same problem, are they going to put another download sometime soonish?

This thread made me fall out of my chair laughing. "Idiot of the award of the month, "LOL retard" and a detailed explanation of a patch.
 
Ignore all the assholes. Just do a bit of reading in the forums before posting to avoid such comments. Its pretty common knowledge on the forums. The devs will post the updated version when they are done. They need time to update it even if its a few hours. You can check out the changes in the releases section when they are done.

The error you got was:

If you look, it says:

  • That little number at the end is a unique number that your specific version of Honorbuddy is designed to operate on.
  • Each World of Warcraft patch comes with a specific build number, which is what the (above) number is.
  • Anytime Honorbuddy sees that World of Warcraft is on a new build number, it wont start up.
  • Honorbuddy has to be updated every time World of Warcraft gets a new patch to support any changes that the patch may of brought to the game's API / Offsets / etc.
  • Honorbuddy provides this little feature to prevent you from using an outdated version of Honorbuddy on a new World of Warcraft patch, which could potentially save you from getting instantly banned.





Before you login to your WoW account, if you look to the bottom left, you will see details about the current patch.
For example:
Version 5.2.0 (16650) (Release x64)

16650 is the build number for patch 5.2.0.
