rename your executable and its description? I've used EXE editing programs to do this before, but I have never used it on HonorBuddy or DemonBuddy,

What are your takes on this?
 
Don't think it will help.. But i'm not an expert. Let's see other opinions.

Show me one thing that proofs that they are not legally allowed to do so, and then you read this forum
once more, but then without the ignorant glasses on, and you will find 20 things that will show you they can and are allowed to do so.

If you dont accept, you cant play. And for those that start on a legal case again. If i want to see if you use something, i dont need to see
your whole list, i scan, and detect if x program is present, in this case honorbuddy, if x=yes... i ban your ass... simple as that.

Theres no privacy intrussion or whatever you call it going on then. You say, when you install cool brah, i allow you to do so. So plz, stop being

renaming it wont work btw, on a scan, they still see it as honorbuddy. period.

They are not allowed to scan your Computer if you live in the EU, they already lost a case at the EU Court.
They can put every claus in their TOS, that doesn't mean that they are legally allowed to execute them though.

WoW Can only legally scan inside of its own memory and they cannot scan outside of it. If it detects something modifying its on memory then it can report that information back as long as it doesn't scan outside of it. Also just because its in the TOS does not make it legal, they already lost the process scanning case. Also if they were scanning processes we would all been banned a long time ago.
 
We have had this talk before on the forum, And know they are not allowed too scan outside the game itself :)
 
first of all they can , they are doing it. simply put it doesnt matter if they can or not , most of my banned accounts didnt receive even 1 bit of proof with their findings ... so get over it .

Hold up let me rewind your post...first you said they can do it. but then you said it does not matter if they can or not...But you said they can. lol And from a dev of HB who knows there coding and more saying they cant is true. While I keep telling people that they cant scan your pc only the INGAME memory. Please give me proof that they can scan your whole entire computer and tell microsoft that your using a fake cd key. I want too see this in LAW that they are allowed to do it :)

And you got banned due too not botting right. If players report you they are not going too say " Banned from Player Reports " they also will not say " Hi we seen that you are using HonorBuddy to play wow, Sorry but thats not alowed " BAN! Some people on these forums think they know everything and yet they have no proof too back it up.

They never give away any proof, so your point isnt valid in any way.

And oh, not related to your post, I love the TOS/EULA people. Sometimes when you click "Accept" there are things like "If you want to use this software, you have to make me cookies." Yeeeaaaaahhhhh, TOS over law at any time...

-lol , yes i said they can (legally), and also that it doesnt matter if they can or not (technically) to scan your RAM and your processes active. cannot explain better , sorry.

- yeah latelly beign on HB doing BG's more than 1 hr/day seems to be "not botting right." youre so right , ure a dev, u know better. now i know to.

- aren't you cute :) youre like blizz in a way , always reading our minds :) i throwed away the loggs from when i got banned (alongside with all GB folder ofc, just lost my 6 year acc) without saying that was HB fault... i think now that is your fault ;) you don't wear a hat , or, are you?

- technically maybe not, legally surely yes, but as long as they don't give any proofs makes me think that they cannot technically, and it doesnt matter since i got my accounts banned this way ... i hope i explained well now, i was surprised that you guys didnt get me from first time. I've thought you would.
 
It does not matter if blizzard can scan it or not in a legal aspect and there is really no proof whether they do or do not scan your computer. But there is not many more bans then there has ever been and blizzard defiantly knows about the bot and about all the other bots. But if they were scanning for processes when they do banwaves they wouldn't hit normal players like what happened on diablo, they would be able to catch a lot more, they wouldn't reverse bans/temp bans, they wouldn't need the player report system, they wouldn't need to teleport people around( if they even do), and they wouldn't need need any of their other anti systems. They do check offsets, and they check behaviors and patterns and those are all confirmed. Renaming HB would do absolutely nothing even if they did scan processes because of all the information other then its name such as all its assembly information. The legal matter is a totally separate issue but mute on blizzard's observed behavior.

Ok I don't know if any of you use online banking as such but yes they can scan memory legally for protecting server accounts it can be found under the computer laws...

Blizzard does scan for password stealers as such and other programs when needed

As for online banking most banks install a script in order to scan for certain Trojans which are made by antivirus company's it then sends info back to the server to tell it to lock the accounts this is so it can protect your account

Anyone is allowed to do this as it is in the computer laws providing it does not send un wanted info

It is like if you get a crash in wow and it is showing your battle.net email and password in the crash then you have a password stealer on your account

Plus banks use ToU and ToS so it is a legal thing you agree to as well

Most bans come from player reports and then a Game Master comes and checks your account details with stats then they act on it

I myself been playing for 6 years now and can tell a bot they drop on nodes or run into things and get stuck for god no how long or you see a player online for a long time in a zone farming ore and herbs

All I can say is that blizzard has to take bot makers to court in order for there game to be safe from bots this is being done they plan to protect project titan

Project titan will not be released until they win 3 cases to close down 3 bot makers as bot makers are protected by corporate laws so far Gather Buddy Team has not won any case yet and is yet to be closed down

Also with the bot made in china that is around it will be next on there list after Gather Buddy is shut down but this case will be short lived as it has been proven in two countrys and two different laws that bots are un wanted programs once Gather Buddy teams is closed down

Go read about corporate law it is fascinating stuff it is plus computer laws and privacy laws

This is my two cents worth here

honorbuddy gatherbuddy wont be shutdown its only for german if that happns not the whole world this isnt usa.:) like glider
 
thats the thing tho if they really did care about botters, you would of had well over 300+ bans all at once. Along if HB could be seen from blizzard. Thats how mmo-glider got smashed it was seen in the IN Game Memory then bam over 5000 people banned at once then more came after..I will just say this like i have said over and over. If you bot like a human your chances of being banned are slim too none. I myself not 1 ban yet from my human like botting accounts. 5 years and still strong.
