New Botting Rig :D

Yeah prices suck up here. Locally they are $360+ tax.

Anyone suggest a $100-$150 range 2gig+ video card? I've seen some cheap $80 4gig but i'm not sure if i should be more worried over power vs space w/ those.

My $75 6670 2gb handles 8 bots at 70% gpu and 45% mem, but that's with ISBoxer and small windows (although shrinking window size only helps to a certain extent, not sure what the cutoff is). I am shooting for 16 bots with my next build, and I think I'm going to try out a 7750 2gb. Only around $100, and every D3 benchmark I can find puts it at about 2x the performance of the 6670. A 7770 2gb is even better, but they're at about $160.

Nice. I'm really tempted to just order a 4gig cheapo card and try that out. The vRam seems to be the thing to stack over speeds i'm thinking.

nice, i might upgrade, my first gen i7-950 is nearly maxed lol

I just checked some links that u provided, and I've encountered this: http://www.microcenter.com/product/388575/Core_i7_3770K_35GHz_LGA_1155_Processor
I'm from Europe, in my country this shit costs like $380, so $230 is a joke compared to the usual price i can get this for. Any idea how can I grab it, and send to Europe? :-)

They don't ship those, its in-store pick-up only. I remember driving an hour to the store just to get their i5 + mobo combo when I built my botting rig. So unless you have family or friends in the US that happen to live near a Microcenter, you're SOL.

Update:

I finally went into the BIOS to fix the ram timings and speed only to find the damn processor was running on a powersaver mode! I've set it to normal and switched up my d3 windows to run in 800x600 fullscreen windowed then shrunkdown with a macro for easier viewing. Now my CPU hovers at 30%-45%! My gpu is going to be the bottleneck at this point. With only 1 gig of ram it's close t capacity with 8 bots. I'm going to try a cheapo 4gig card and see how that goes. I'm super impressed with this processor :D

Hmm, your CPU seems to be soaking up almost the same amount as my 2700k...

Also, I've seen good things out of the 7850 GPU -- http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=5400619&CatId=7387

The 2700k runs at 3.5 as well eh. It's likely there is a sweet and cheap processor out there to build for botting sake, i'm sure the 3770k isn't it but I'm confident it'll be my little botting cpu for 10 years or more. Once bliz's new project is out and the botters get it figured out she'll probably still be going. How fun it is to have a pc purly for botting :D:D
