New Botting Rig :D

Yeah a nice liquid cooler is the next thing I'm looking at. I paid a bit of extra for that K in 3770k and I can see overclocking being very profitable in the near future. My ram usage is a joke right now, the cpu will be the first thing that'll need a good push with more bots loaded on.

Yeh I looked into that CPU when I was building my gig but settled on a 2600k or 2700k not sure, cuz of the price

Before I had 12gb ram and with 6bots clients would crash n freeze all the time so I put in an extra 8gb stick and it solved my problem so I could see how 16gb could bbottleneck with a lot of bots

How much do 8 bots use of that graphic card?
GPU-Z is a nice program to monitor your graphics card ;)

Tried the H60 and it kept my processor cool, but not as cool as I wanted it to be. H60 is a better investment if you're limited on space in your box or you don't have the proper mount on the top. H60 fits in almost any box easily.

hey and what about air cooler noctua? NH-d14 ? is it as good as h60/100 or not rly? blista im looking for ur opinion :)

Got the last pieces for my new rig today! She's up and running all 8 bots giving the laptop a much needed break. Parts include i7-3770k @ 3.5Ghz, CORSAIR Vengeance Ram 32GB @ 1600, EVGA GeForce GTX 560 (Fermi) 1GB, and an ASUS P8Z77-V LK board. PSU and hd are just old bits I had laying around. Got a Samsung 840 120GB SSD on order.

GPU is running at 55c with all cores on the i7 going from 55c-65c. CPU usage drops under 40% on occasion, spikes at 80% and usually floats around 65-70. I did no tweaking on the board and the ram is actually running well under 1600. I'll probably look into getting a nice cooling system for future overclocking if I want to push 6 or 7 more bots on her.

All paid for by bots :D

Good Job! Job. :o I'm thinking about starting to put several bots on a PC, you could help me step-by-step, what I need to do to put them to run? E.g.: Do you use VM? What do I need to be able to run several d3 and db? Can I contact you by PM?

How much vRam you using? I would imagine you're close to the cap and any more bots would start lagging out, creating artifacts.

should be ~1300mb, so alot of space for more. first thing to reach it's limit is always the cpu.

/e: at least thats what 8 clients will use up on my 2gb vram machine. didn't really tweak the game though. so i'm curious now - will 1gb vram be enough?

You can always use them to have a clue whats the cheapest possible price. Dunno where you life, but they have more sites in different countrys, use google. In german countrys its Geizhals.de or .at or so...

My previous GTX 660Ti and new GTX 670 FTW both have artifacts when running more than 1 D3. My brothers GTX 560Ti DS does the same- all have NO lag and low GPU usage, but still artifact. Must be a Nvidia or EVGA thing...

No offense but it could be you. I don't think a major GPU like this would cause trouble in a game like D3. Beside I'm using 2x GTX660ti and 1x GTX560ti in my botting rigs. No problems.

I have a GTX670 FTW 2GB and i run 6 bots on lowest settings (on this one machine in particular) and my main with maxed out settings with less than max video ram usage and no artifacts.

He possibly doesn't have the correct drivers or the card has a defect.

Once I capped my vRam on my other computer with 1GB vRam (maybe ~7 bots), I noticed a lot more freezing clients, lag in-game, and disconnects between all the bot clients.

There's no way he'll pull 16 bots on 1GB of VRAM.

This is what i use.

AMD FX-8350 4.0ghz
Msi geforce 660ti 2gb
18g ddr3
120gb ssd

cpu is from 50% to around 80% with 7 bots! all bots got 30 fps atm

used to run with an FX-4100.. 100% with 6 bots constantly ;D

Why's your RAM at 536Mhz? Tight timings though. I normally just run the default XMP profile (set and forget).

Looks like a bot died too :/. Haha

Drop down your used processes from 79 to -> max 35 for win 7 plus your 7+7 running processes of d3 and db = 49! Voila, your PC can run 2 more bots...

About 900megs worth. I'll def have to get one with more space haha.

nice thread im doing the same thing as you bro giving the lappy a rest and building a pc pure botting rig with money made from botting, could i grab the website you used or do you no of any good websites for parts? cheers

No VM. Apoc d3 launcher. Multiple DB keys.

About 90%. I probably should have got a 1.5 or 2gb card. That'll be something to get soon.

ya i got one shitty ram in there, kind of a mix with the RAM ;D rest is 1333mhz.. ya i saw that :( such a noob, its my 220k dps glas dh, he got like 2 death/h always..im to lazy to change the gear

Yeah prices suck up here. Locally they are $360+ tax.

Anyone suggest a $100-$150 range 2gig+ video card? I've seen some cheap $80 4gig but i'm not sure if i should be more worried over power vs space w/ those.

Been waiting for this. Haha. Sucks that Newegg charges us Canadians tax/shipping.
I gotta ask, was the insane CPU and RAM worth it? Does 16GB really bottleneck for 10 bots? And wouldn't have an i5 been just as good?
I actually use an H60, and it works perfectly fine. Don't know if the H100 is worth the investment either.

Not meaning to jack the thread, but if you want comparison, I am running 8 bots (same as OP I think) on an i5-3570K with similar everything else. I pull the same 65-70% CPU usage, except I am at 4.2ghz instead of OP's 3.5ghz. Assuming that he could clock that i7 up to 4.2 also (very very likely), some simple math suggests that the i7 could run 10 bots at the same 65-70% compared to the i5, when clocked the same.
