[HOT ISSUE] Initialization Failed / Stuck at Flashing Screen

Status: Please get the latest copy of demonbuddy( .300 ) at Home. This works with patch 1.07


Due to a large amounts of complains about receiving a flashing window for DB(as shown below), I've decided to start up this thread to for information purposes.

This error is caused because Diablo 3 has been updated to 1.07 and Demonbuddy has yet to be updated.

Just curious.. How long does it typically take to fix DB when a new patch comes out?

the only ram they can legally scan is the part that their program is currently running in, (they've always been able to do this) so there's nothing to worry about.

Not sure how much is this new, as I heard about it long before, however I also heard that they cancelled it at some point and maybe now they just turned it back up.
In the later case then they will likely target the most commonly used programs obviously and therefore us, my little buddies are right in the center of the target's aim :)

This could cause demonbuddy update to take some time if they don't want us to get banned as soon as we log in...

Edit: started writing before developer post up there :)

can you quote what is the new terms about RAM in end-user agreement?

This has been in all of the EULA =P. Nothing new. You can put the tin-foil cap away :D.

Not sure if what you're getting at is if this method can cause "bans". If they banned for "RAM" scanning, they did it illegally if you were only using DB. Most of the items that will get detected by a RAM search would be injection hacks and some other garbage. DB is a little bit smarter than that =P

As long as the legal part stands and so that there is no technical change then there is not much to fear indeed I suppose aside from the usual bans.
If on the other hand they managed to find a lawful way to use every single trick to chase down 3rd party program using every single technical possible trick,
then it's likely another story.

Anyway I guess CodenameG is probably the more reliable source of information available on the forum regarding that part :)
Way too long I haven't been using SoftIce or other periscope to go dig out this kind of information for myself lol...

I only do this kind of stuff / program for a few seconds every time I hear my boss's whip cr ack nowadays.

Blizzard does not scan outside of memory. That doesn't mean the EULA is wrong though. They just didn't specify the limitations of their scans.
