HB Takes 5+ Minutes to load

HB takes any where from about 4-7 minutes to start.
I am running DX9 on the client, and have low settings in game.

I have cleared out my cache, and even tried to empty the mesh; still happens.


My machine is fine (i7 overlocked, 6 gigs triple channel etc)

Please advise!

try doing a fresh install of honorbuddy into a new folder, dont install any additional plugins or combat routines, and see if that makes a difference.
 
mine is taking forever as well... first time in a while but of course i have not played for a bit due to working 12+ hours....
 
well i updated and ran it right now, and it seemed fine to me. give it a few hours, if it stops working post back, but im willing to bet its maybe a network issue or something temporary.

That was my first reaction, and so I decided to wait a few days; so this has been going on for 4-5 days now.

part of it is too, that with the snow and stuff happening in the US im having a hard time connecting to the forums, and im sure that, maybe effecting how some people authenticate to the servers. but theres nothing i can do till those ISP's get off their butts and fix those connectivity issues. because the forums and the servers running them are rock solid, it just seems to be bad oversea connections.

Google Chrome could not load the webpage because www.thebuddyforum.com took too long to respond. The website may be down, or you may be experiencing issues with your Internet connection.
 
Sounds reasonable; do you see nothing in the log that would suggest any other issues? A friend of mine on the same backbone does not have these issues.
Though that is no solid proof that the storms are not the issue.

I have also experienced HB forums not loading though, and the storm makes sense.
 
no, i didnt see anything in the log that would suggest and issue with the client. thats why i have to think it maybe a network issue. if your running torrents or something try turning them off, but if your connection isnt taxed locally, then all i can do is suggest you wait and see if it gets better, its great that after it starts up it seems to be working.
 
all the site issues should be cleared up, so post a new full log as an attachment and ill check it out
