Can someone just explain exactly how they're leveling to 80 without babysitting?

I cant find any version of HB that works enough to not have to sit here and edit code, or turn in quests, or climb up a hill just to get it to attack mobs for me. I dont understand how people are leveling anything from any level to any level.
Can someone give me a run down of how exactly they level to 1-80 on say.. an undead warlock.. because i've used two versions of HB and over 10 profiles none of them can get me to level 15 alone or within a week.
 
hmm something is wrong with the profiles then mate or the setup.
 
I've tried grinding mode as well, but I cant seem to find a profile that supports it... 1-60 bliiks on grind mode starting in durator level 13 undead doesnt do shit, it just stands there saying it wants to grab a quest that it already grabbed... Am I doing something wrong?
 
hmmm strange:) search for others people are mostly busy updating them i guess.

Did you set it to grind mode and not questing?
 
Are you sure you have hb set to grind mode and not quest mode? I used ski's warlock cc, though I am alliance.

What I did in the past was just grab the quest myself and then used a grind profile and grind mode.

There doesn't seem to be a way to level 100% to 80 completely un-attended, regardless of profiles used. There are always little things you have to do, like training at the trainer and doing talents (yes, I know the bot can supposedly handle this, but it glitches sometimes), setting up the new abilities in your CC, and buying new gear every so many levels. You also have to manually move the bot to other continents. It's just part of the botting experience.

Botting just makes it so you don't have to kill 54,000 monsters by hand. It does it for you while you sleep!

The best way to get the most out of your botting experience is to run 3+ bots on a single computer. That way, you're really getting the most bang for your buck during the leveling experience (especially if they are doing RAF).

Once you hit 80, plop 'em onto some gatherbuddy profiles and *then* you don't have to babysit them at all.

This is all theory though. I only ever botted one toon at a time. World's best screensaver! :p
 
Side note: Shouldn't this thread really be in a general discussion area instead of the profiles area? Just saying.

Yes i've used grind mode but sometimes hb will say its going to go turn in a quest, or its saying its going to an npc but just stands there... Or it takes weeks to get to 10, etc. etc. Theres always something that stops it at least 5 minutes in..

The Questing profiles you are discribing are the old ones try the Quest order ones specifically The horde project (its going very well) 1-25
Grinding is great all around but CTA weekends are great Like AV where you can get to 80 from level 51 in under 2 days without baby sitting!
 
When I go to bed leaving questing on... the bot mysteriously decides to stand in one place spamming one line of code. However, i'll go for coffee or something.. and i'll come back to it perfectly executing the profile. Interesting...

maybe you just shouldn't go to bed lol.
seriously though i have the same issue and have found that it has a lot to do with what profile your using vs what class. and so many things that i have simpl decided to just go with grinding.

holding my breath for questing though really want that to work
 
personally i dont trust the bot enough to NOT babysit. majority of the time it gets stuck or crashes or what have you. currently i only do mixed mode or just grinding only while im also at the computer. the only time i trust the bot on its own is on gatherbuddy farming, and using a profile i made myself.
 
I think the bot actually does a decent job grinding. I left 1.955 to grind over night and while I only got a couple levels 13-15, or something. I still woke up to it running. The XP/HR was total bunk. Around 4k? Might as well manually play until it gets sorted out. Oh NOEZ!

Butnoreally. I enjoy GB, just not this release.:eek::eek::eek::confused:
 
I have to agree to some extent.
Before "HB2" I could leave my guy running for days litterally, now I tend to get stuck/DC/crash every 12-24 hours.

But yeah, grinding of course is the way.
Questing is just ... I don't know why its open for the public in its current form tbh.
 
Hb2 with grinding profiles works excellent. I've botted a warrior to 80 with HB1 and my old custom class. I botted a shaman to 80 with HB2 and bobby's CC. now i'm working on my hunter, with HB2 and fpsware's cc. it's currently level 65. questing looks really really promising, there just arent many good profiles out that use it correctly yet. When you get to 60, there's a REALLY good hellfire profile for horde that does like 40 or so quests in hellfire, zangarmarsh, and terokkar - all unattended.

it takes a few minutes to work all the kinks out, but once you know what you're doing - hb is overall really really good.
