Hey, just wondering if it's only me, or is the official forum site having a lot of issues lately? It's been extremely slow and unresponsive over the past week. I've also been told that the site is "offline" quite frequently. I can't say it's like this all the time, but more so in the mornings and evenings. Yesterday I was able to browse the forums with no issues for about 80% of the time I was online, but today I'm lucky if I can pull up a link in the forums at all. I have to continually refreshe/reload the site, and most of the time it loads 50%-80% of the page. It's not constant, which is leading to me to think it's something on my side.

I checked all my connections, I've reset my modem and router to factory defaults. I disabled all malware and antivirus software. I turned off my firewall. I've done all the "standard" internet troubleshooting steps I could think of as well, including flushing my DNS, disabling and enabling my wireless and wired network adapters, and I even went as far as uninstalling, rebooting, and reinstalling the NIC's drivers. Still getting site issues.

I also pingeg www.thebuddyforum.com to see if I had any packet loss, and I only had 5% loss.

Can any of the staff clear this up by letting me know if it's something on my end, or if the site is actually having issues?

We are under DDOS. Its big and its ongoing. Its likely to be ongoing for months - we are spending a lot of money on defences but they are complicated to set up and not working as well as they should. Please do bear with us.
Thanks Hawker. Now I know it's official. Someone mentioned earlier that HB was getting DDoSed, but without official mod statements, that can only be taken so far. I'm patient with it, so no worries. My post was just to make sure the issue wasn't on my end. Thanks again for letting me know what's up.
