Hi!

Please keep the discussion clean and smooth :)
As we all know, time is money and sometimes you try troubleshooting for hours and hours.... and there is no way you can fix it without help.
With demonbuddy i learned a hard lesson because i was in the game from the beginning on...

But just as a example: i also tried a comeback with honorbuddy (WoW) and there my farm-bot isn't perfect... by far.
Sometimes you need a special profile, sometimes you need special settings, sometimes a 5 Minute Teamviewer Session with a "Bot-Nerd" can save up 5 hours of troubleshooting :)

Honestly, i would like the idea of having 2 or 3 trusted Pro's here who can be hired vs. a small fee.
Before you answer, think at the times where botting was not that easy. (nowadays demonbuddy is mostly babysitting-free)

But at least when patch comes out such a service could (could!) be nice. What do you think?
It would just work like this:

you post in the support section, you receive answer (like always)
the support-team already gave a fitting option but there is somewhere a user error. I don't worry about the team members skills and knowledge to decide wether user-error or not...
If it fits you get a recommendation to use a fee-based bot support.

Last but not least it would be important that the "solution" for the user error will be posted after the fee-based bot support; so everyone can read it/find it via search function.

What if users post absurd questions/requests like the one below:

While it's a great idea, having people dedicated to live tech support would be an enormous responsibility and arduous process. Think about it, they're going to have to hire someone to sit there and answer people's questions all day long. IT support sucks and anyone who's ever worked as one will tell you how infuriating it can be. Where would you find these pros anyway? I'm sure most of the "pros" who know what's what have lives outside this project as well.

I think anyone who wants to use botting software such as DB should at least take the minimal amount of time and effort to get their own bots up and running. The current support/forum system works fine. You have a problem, post the log and describe the problem in detail. Sure, it might be up to a day for a legit response, but that's because people have other things to do. Hell, isn't that the reason any of us bot? We have better things to do than play grindy games over and over.

This isn't necessary IMHO, it's too much work for an unnecessary function. I'd rather see more efforts devoted to optimization of the bots and their plugins (which they are doing right now anyway).

what staff already does covers this thread

There is a support section. The main problem is that half the people keep posting in the general forums.

exactly this.

or do you think the copy/paste replies you get when you post in the support section are free? you paid for them when you purchased demonbuddy.
