We all see those stupid questions asked in the forum each day over and over.
Some of these have been answered many times before, some are so dumb that you may think that a monkey would calculate or reason the solution.

To everyone who's taking their time to give an explanation to these stupidity;
I beg you, Please STOP doing it. Let the natural selection do its job.

agreed :o
I usually answer everything and rarely the op comes back to say if it answered his question or not :(

At first I was gonna ask encouraging these stupid actions in question...

forums are here for support and questions, including the "stupid" questions you are talking about...
you can ignore them if you dont like to read/answer them tho

I dont mind helping out when I can, and it doesnt matter how bad their IQ score is

When reading those questions I do often feel like this:

I'm not advertising against not helping people but seriously, there should be a limit.
The second post is intended for phun actually...
I've been on the other side too but do not remember ever asking how much gold would I make with 10 bots if i make 20k per bot each day.
You get the point...

When I see those questions I just assume they've taken too many pain meds or something and don't realize what they're typing.

You want people to stop answering?

Make a "compilation" with EVERY stupid question plus every answer. Then make it a must read after registering, plus the quick set up guide too.

And we just avoided 90% of all forum posts.

Sounds like a plan?

+ 1, Its not often that I agree with Tony with his stupid post 400th log for same bug that has been there for 6 months post and thread closed posts. But this time he makes sense. Forums are nothing unless there are new posts being made, even for stupid questions like How many bots do you run? How do i make gold? How to sell gold? How many bots can my computer run?

Don't like them?, Don't read them. You know, exercise your own self control and freedom to choose what you do read and what you don't read. Its not all that hard.

Don't bring up the "post a log" argument.

It is a board rule, if you don't follow them, Tony will remind you.

I hope, some day, they will actually do what it says in the board rules. "no log attached=thread will be deleted."

You do realize that the same bug can be caused and reintroduced in many different ways right? That's why they always need a log...

No, actually one day they will build it into the bot and have it autosend it, and bug posted to the forums all in 1 shot.. Just like the backtraces should be when there is a core dump, you know, so they can actually find where memory is being cleared which is still needed by the bot, throwing those Cant read memory errors.

It is all kind of easy to do, maybe an hours work for a half competent first year comp science student. They already use Zendesk, the entire thing could be integrated to that in no time at all.

Thats a different Story and not a bad idea.

But the difference between user error and bug is often so small, that it would create a lot of trash.
The "normal" crash already has this "Send Report" Button, but I dont even know if this thing works...

I'm pretty sure they disabled it because of spam

That "Send Error" button works one out of every fifty times I click it. I think it gets auto disabled after a certain amount of reports, then once those are cleared out, it's auto enabled again. Just my own theory, nothing more. But, sadly, that button rarely ever works.

No different from the 4bil logs all over the place already, most of which do not get looked at to begin with. And in actuality it would probably make Tony's life a hell of a lot easier. At least all the trash would be in one place for him to delete.

A lot of people are new to forums, they don't know to read the rules and search before posting. I'm still going to help them, the stupid questions arnt overwhelming. Im almost certain that you asked stupid questions when you first started using forums. So here's what i say, lets not be a dick to new members of the community.

Would be good if they didn't spam the same thread in many sections of the forums when there is a perfectly good section of the forums titled as "Support" for them to post issues in....
I've nothing against people asking dumb questions I'd just rather not wade through hundreds of threads to read stuff I want to.

What I'd ideally see is anyone asking a question for support gets their thread moved to the proper section so relevant threads to each section of the forum have proper "airtime" in their place.
