Wanting to ask a ban related question

Hey, i botted from paragon level 22 till 35, something i regret now, because i had no intention on making any real life money by botting. I was lazy and didnt want to level myself, and now i have come to a conclusion that i want to stop botting.
Then i ask you this question. If i stop botting right now, and play legit, i will still have a chance to be banned right ? I mean, if i play legit in like one month from now, will they still ban me because i botted months ago ?
You probably don't know the answer, but if anyone have been in the same situation, please let me know.
 
If you survive the next ban wave you can assume you're off the hook.
 
Just wondering, why is that ? What if i survive the next banwave, are you sure i wont get busted the banwave after that again ?
 
Personally, as long as you have bot'ed a single minute, consider yourself already banned.

You can ofc just wait, see if god intervenes.
 
dude, noone here can be sure of anything, there are no certainties, only theories.
i myself agree with tufani, you have botted, you will get banned eventually even if you have stopped..
 
Thats what i tought, Just gonna hope for the best, even tho im pretty sure im getting the banhammer

Email blizzard and apologize for botting and ask for a one-time dispensation to not ban your account. You can also pay a member of this forum to write it for you if thats your thing LMAO.
 
To make you feel a bit better I botted my monk to para 65 then decided I actually wanted to play the game and haven't botted since. I stopped back in June of last year and I still have that account, I use it as my mule as well. So they might be forgiving if you stop, they have been for that account for me. I also got hit by the Dec 12th and 18th ban waves 2 accts in each.
 
where do you read the word GUARANTEED in my post?
nothing is certain, we all can only give our personal opinion on what might happen.
 
my cousin stopped botting his main account after he survived the banwave 18/12/12, and haven't been banned yet, so I assume they only keep the records for a period - just consider the massive amount of data they have to save if they kept everything since launch DB log-file is about 3-4mb if you let it run 24h, and thats only 'normal' log, blizzard logs might be a little more complete and therefor fill alot x number of players everyday - thats an insane amount of data everyday - but again blizzard have enough money to use on HDDs :D

Wow thats odd, I mean, since paragon levels came out in late aug/early September.
