Safe for my legit account to trade gold to it from my botting account?

I'm in the process of setting up a second botting account on a VM which connects thru a strong*** account. My IP is different, and the account is a totally new one that I purchased from someone else who had legitimately been playing the account previously.

As far as I can tell nothing links my botting account to my main legit account.
Different email accounts, different names in the account, different security questions, different authenticator. No paypal or cc linked to the account..

My purpose for botting is just to get gold for myself. I don't plan to use this as a means of income. So what my question is, If I simply give money to my legit account using the trade window, could I potentially be putting my legit account at risk for ban?
That party / trade is the only thing I can see that kind of associates the two accounts with each other.

That being said, from Blizzard's perspective, My legit account is simply receiving money from another account. I've purchased gold from 3rd party farming sites before, and this is how they gave the gold to me. I don't think it's really that different, and I would hope that playing dumb with blizzard if an issue did arise would keep the legit account in the clear.

Is this what other people do? Is this safe for my legit account? I'm well aware that my botting account could be banned at any time.

tl;dr

associating with a bot, so no, it's not safe.
BUT, most botters use mules, accounts that don't bot, to sell gold/items and those accounts are rarely ever banned.

still, IT IS risky.

The general rule of thumb is that Blizz doesn't ban based on association with bots.

If a bot gives you money, but you never botted, they leave you alone.

That being said, there's always a first time. And I'm sure they have sophisticated enough ways to discover that it is an account that *should* be banned. I imagine it's probably because they can't definitively "Defensible in a court of law" discover it, so they leave it be.

Personally, I plan to level my mule here and there by hand and claim that a friend lent me money for when I hit 60. How was I supposed to know he was botting? Am I supposed to deny a friend's gift just in case he might be?

It is against Blizzards terms of use to share an account. If you told a Blizzard rep this he would ban your account, or at least inform you that only the account owner may play it.

that shit wouldn't fly. when they ban, they ban for good, i have never seen a ban overturned.

also, that is a lame ass excuse for constant gold transfers of over 10M. and if you don't plan on transfering constantly, you'll just end up getting banned with your stash.

I use same name on all my accounts (my name.) Some are bots, 1 isn't. I am carefully transferring gold and items to the mule (who has also been leveled by hand to lvl 60.) When the next banwave comes around, I'll try to remember to post on here as to whether or not my mule was banned. I hope it won't be banned because I'm hoarding radiant star gems. :s

Can someone give me a link to setup a second bot.. the Vm program or whatever is needed to run a second diablo..

thanks

So what happens if u sell your friends gold becouse he doasnt have pay pal acc?

Exactly why they don't ban any account associated with the "confirmed" botting account. They would make sure that YOU are the person using the mule account before banning it.

To be on the safe side, when transferring gold from bot to mules, have the mule give some crappy rares in the trade window.

If transferring items, use trade window and give some gold back.

I also do that. As long as characters exchange something, I'm happy.

I was kinda wondering about using the trade window vs throwing items on the ground. If you just get in the same game and throw the items on the ground, I dont think there is any recorded association - besides tinfoil hat datamining theories etc.

If you never botted on your legit acc then I don't think they will ban it just because you traded with a botaccount.
