Total noob question

Hello. I stumbled on this site looking for Leoric's Signet farming spots.

I've spent about 30 minutes on here, decided to make a profile to post the following:

What the heck is this all about? LOL You guys have a wealth of information but what specifically this is all for is lost to me.

From what I have gathered, you are using scripts/bots to 'play' D3 for you because of the archaic grinding this crappy, yet addictive game involves.

I am interested in this, not for profit, but because I am tired of spending 25+ hours so far looking for a Leoric's Signet! My sorc, is level 60 Paragon 26(?), she can handle Inferno MP3, but I usually play 2. While warden farming, I usually get a key about every 3-5 games.

If this program can allow me to do other things while still accomplishing the mundane play of searching for "X" item, then I think I might be interested!

I realize that this is probably against Blizzards EULA, blah blah. How much in danger am I if I just use this for a few hours a day, looking for Signet's, Calamity, Warden keys? I don't want to bother selling gold or other items (not specifically, but if I find a good one I won't use, of course I'll put it on auction house).

So, can someone point me in the direction of where to begin? Should I risk using my real blizzard account? I have over 2,000 of legitimate playtime. :/

Do not bot on an account that you would not be willing to have banned is my rule. If you really want a character to farm stuff for you why not just buy a new cdkey for D3, lvl up a monk or whatever you want to in order to farm. Then use that account to bot for whatever you want and trade the stuff you want to your main.

There are public "key hunt" scripts. Since the ring you want is a Legendary item just be sure to setup the bot to keep rings that meet your qualifications. I don't think you can tell DB to just keep specific items but it will keep items that are a specific item level.

Do not risk your "real" account. Whatever account you bot on will, eventually, get banned.

Disclaimer: I don't own/use DB at the moment, I've just lurked a lot on the forum.

2k hours?

That's a lot of time to risk getting banned. My best solution for you might be:

1) don't bot on main account
2) Transfer to main account using multiple friends/mules in between.

Of course the safest way is to not bot. All of us been banned on at least 1 account sometime previously.
