Hello Demonbuddy.
I want to upgrade my laptop from 4GB RAM to 8GB RAM. Currently only one of two slots are in use, and I can provide the information on the attached picture. I have used couple of hours to search google for information on the subject, but there seems to be more guides on how to change it, rather on which things match and which things don't.

My question to all of you is: What am I supposed to look for when buying RAM, the same capacity, the same speed, the same voltage, or some other things? Also links with suggestions are very welcome.
Thanks :)

If I were you I would simply buy a new 2x4GB package of RAM, they are not that expensive, and your current RAM could use an upgrade itself :)

iAce: Is that because of the low speed? What effect does it have when gaming/botting?
harmacintyre: I don't know much about RAM, but the information simply seemed to be irrelevant.
moldran: Are you sure they would be compatible? What do you look at when you choose to recommend those?

Kingston is compatible with all memory from market - u can easy buy any memory ddr 3 4gb with 1333 frequency , it will work , actually u find kingston/kingmax cheapest almost...in any store ,gl !

This question, as well as pertinent information regarding, would be easily found and discussed thoroughly somewhere like Overclock.net - An Overclocking Community . If you have a few minutes to check it out, you'd find a lot of useful information there!

The problem with a forum such as this, is that is a forum where experienced people can discuss. As I mentioned earlier, I am not experienced, and therefore have no clue what most of the terms they use even mean. It is because of this I ask in here, to get help from someone who can express it in a simpler way. But thanks for the link anyway ;)

Go to a real life store - i know, you gotta walk - and talk to someone at microcenter or some computer hardware store - dont go to bestbuy - they are all scrubs - go somewhere that is well known for for computer things

the higher frequency the better especially if ur gnna oc, id say buy a 8x2 kit of like 1666mhz and ur gnna be set. idk about laptops so cnt so much.

dont listen to guys "OC" , u dont have an Alien laptop that support OC on memory and stuff , anyway there is no diference just to OC the memory's , voltage 1.5 got all standard ddr 3 , u can buy corsair or kingston from what u mentioned , there will be no problem :)...trust me ! i work in it ( sry for bad enlgish - not my native language)

just buy any SODIMM DDR3 2 x 4gb 1333 MHz kit and sell the single 4gb on ebay
