Main account was banned today due to many different violations, they didnt specify. I'm not sure what it was in the maintenance update today that they found.
 
Same. I was warned by my little brother to not bot after maintenance updates for at least 24 hours. I should have listened to him lol... But mine said "due to many different violations" as well.
 
I didn't bot after maintenance, all i did was try to log in after maintenance and got the banned message. Although I was logged in for almost a week straight, wish i hadn't botted so much on this acct, he was paragon 89 and had so much uber gear, max cd/cc all items and skorn worth 2bil.
 
I had to learn that the hard way too. Never ever bot with an account you really care about. Keep your "uber gear" at an account you do not bot or better sell it :)
A nice Barb bot equip shoudn?t cost more than 200 mill. But hey, my main account (Monk Para 100, 2b+ gear) was banned during the last banwave too. I have learned from that ;)

I built WW Barb with 100k dps that did Inferno (1) just fine for 20 mil... I'm more butt-hurt about the cost of a d3 cd key than losing the items lol
 
I just got banned an hour ago too, says same thing "due to different bnet violations" paragon 79 barb with good gear was my main account =(
 
do you guys think they just filter how many accounts that stay logged in for xx amount of hours and figure that anyone who stays logged in for more then 24hours is botting? should i set up a new blizzard account with new credit card or it doesnt matter if I buy a new cd key under the account that was banned?

Even when i wasnt botting my account was always logged in. Many days straight.
 
what are the chances they will overturn a ban? has anyone caught botting ever got the ban reversed?

im new at bottin, does ths bot auto update when they get a fix on the detectability?

I've been going 24/7 for the past month, no bans. However i do not bot overnight on maintenance nights. So far it seems to work out well.

As for your other question it shouldn't matter TBH.
