Not interacting with Quest Givers / flight paths, then going afk and offline

Hi,

Sorry if this is in the wrong section. My bot has been a problem for weeks now, I've tried tweaking settings by what I read on the forums. Almost all my characters will walk up to a quest giver, and just open the quest available from them, close, and re-open. It will continue to do this sometimes right away, sometimes randomly. After a while the bot goes afk and dc's from the server (same problem with flight path NPCs). I've tried clearing the cache folders. Any other ideas? Log attached on the latest attempt.

Create a new folder in your Hb directory called "Meshes"
Change your Hb settings so that your meshes download to that folder.

do you currently have any quests in your log? if you do try completing them manually, then starting the bot again.

Seemed to work for one toon, but the original one giving me the big headache is still talking to the same quest giving npc over and over, even after accepting the quest.

Done - still same problem. Need another log?

Hi, SamT, and thanks for the log!

And indeed the log clearly shows cache corruption. Alas, there are not one, but three caches, that must be cleared to remedy the problem:
  • Shut down WoW and Honorbuddy
  • Delete the WoW/Cache/, WoW/Data/Cache/, and Honorbuddy/Cache/ directories
  • Restart WoW and Honorbuddy
Caches can get corrupted a few of ways:
  • You switch toons, or do a quick log out/in, without restarting Honorbuddy
  • You simultaneously run multiple sessions of Honorbuddy from the same directory on disk
  • There are other (user caused) triggers, but these are the most common.
If you are not off-and-away after this corrective action, please show us a fresh log.

cheers,
chinajade
