They had just made it to 60, I invested 350 million into gearing all 16 of them. within just hours after doing so they were all banned. 3 of them were level 59. the other 13 had not been 60 for more than 4 hours.

History, 2/8 December 12, 8/8 December 18, waited it out untill now, 13/16 January 18th.

I know there are still alot of people casually saying botting is fine and DB is fine.

Use your head and decide for yourself, but I can tell you right now It is NO longer likely that you can even make your investment back before ban.

Unless there is a big turn around in the near future, botting is just about over in diablo 3.

They know when youve been sleeping. they know when your awake, they know if youve been bad or good so, you know the rest.

(No need for Ban Form, they banned before any behavior patterns could have been identified, within 48 hours of account creation)

I feel ya bro. Had the same exact thing happen to 10 of my accounts today, all banned at exactly the same time. But I'm using a diff bot (Respawned).
I don't think the bot itself is detected, because I had some bots that weren't running (sitting idle in menu), and they weren't banned.

Were you using RU keys, US, or EU? I'm wondering if they're simply checking all of the RU accounts, cus who else plays on RU client except botters? lol.

Developers of every bot really need to put their heads together and figure this one out, too many bans week after week, botting might really be over

Did you create all those accounts from the same IP? Not that it matters at this point because I created each account from a different VM & IP and still got banned.
Also, the 3 of your accounts that didn't get banned, any speculation on how they escaped?

Well If blizzards wants to get rid of bots - they can do it .. Invisible items , monsters, barricades - all this stuff they put into the game , for perhaps 1-2 days - if you break 100/100 those things , or kill mobs - they ban you ) Lucky who wasn\t botting or bot not 24/7 )

I absolutely think that its over. people can say what they want to, but we have our hands in the allmighty blizzard entertainments pocketbook and this game generates "Real" money. This isnt your sisters diablo 2. We are "stealing" from a fortune 500 company and apparently they have decided it is time to put an end to it.

To answer your question, All US Legit Box Retail Copy Keys.

^ yeah, they are laying down a pretty heavy hammer lately. give it a while though. This bot is gonna be so advanced it's gonna be hard to tell what's human, and whats not. But for now, I believe your are correct

there are many ways how to destroy via legit way Invis Barricade
invis gold - you may step on it by aсcident
Monsters - if only this is elite pack
invis Items - Bot pickup items by its ID, new item - new ID

2 comps, 2 different ip's.

2 survived on 1, 1 survived on the other.

all 3 had the same exact circumstances as the 13 that got banned. There are no exceptions. it was completely random.

This proves to me its not as simple as a "manual investigation" if that were so they would have gotten all of them.

I think there banning method is automated, which is why it isnt thorough, but much scarier and much more dangerous.

I like people that say about detactable bot while they bot from 1 ip, 1 hwid, 1 mac, 1 clientid etc.

UPD: 1 bot left on each comp by bliz to make you continue your "business" and buy more d3 copies.

I was botting 24/7 on different IPs, VMware since July, and never been banned until these last 2 weeks. Something is wrong here, Blizzard is definitely able to detect most of the botters now.

If anyone out there running at least 20+ bots, managed to escape the banwaves and has some information, please share or pm

Do you not think there is 3 clues there as to how they got you?

OP sorry for your loss. You are not the only one that has been banned just around hitting 60.

I'm very interested to know how you leveled them and how many hours Demonbuddy was in use on them. PMed you in case you didn't see this.

btw, when your accounts got banned the first time, did you reinstall the game, change IP and all that crap?

I installed the new bots on a fresh computer made specifically for botting diablo 3. cost was $1400 each. 2 systems. New IP's. New HOUSE even... I moved physical locations between 12-18 and 1-16.

How did you level the 16 toons?

1) Were you using DemonBuddy on the account at the same time the ban/suspension occurred? (Kicked offline due to being Banned)

Yes, Demonbuddy was running on all 16 accounts and between walking to get a soda and grab some food and coming back, 13 of 16 were wiped clean off my screen. I horrifyingly individually logged the other 13 in to find all got the banhammer.

2) If not, when was the last time?:

Not Applicable

3) If using a public profile please name it here:

Rixx Allquesting profile, newest version.

4) How did you level your characters? Please give some details

Rixx Allquesting, there was really no other option for an operation of my scale, And because that profile has many bugs I babysat these bots from level 1 to 60 without leaving them unattended for more than 30 seconds at a time, and even then I probably took 5 30 second breaks in total (I slept once but my wife took over duty during that time). It still has the Vault Of Assassins Cave Of Betrayer bug that requires shutting off DB and manually running through to the quest objective, plus 4-5 other areas with similar issues, with 16 bots that consumes every second of your life to keep them all running smoothly.

5) What combat class were you using? if None Just put Default then the Classname:

No Combat Class.

6) What plugins are you using?:

I used rix allquesting and the autogear that he recomends on his page.

7) How many hours per day did you bot for?:

only botted for 2 days. I dont know exactly how many hours. I slept for 6 hours inbetween and my wife manned the bots the entire time I slept.

7.5) What honest percentage of time did you supervise your bot?

100% supervised from start to finish.

8) How many auctions per day did you have?:

0 Auctions Created.

8.5) Did you use the Real Money Auction House (RMAH)?

No

9) Did you Use Any Other Bots, Hacks, Mods, or Exploits?

No

10) Was your account involved in gold selling?

No

11) What server region where you connected to (The Americas, Europe or Asia)?

USA

I was making a point which was 100% related to the OP's post.

Botting 24/7, or a few hrs a day, it makes no difference because now they are detecting new accounts faster and faster. 2-3 months ago they weren't doing this or I would have been banned a long time ago.
How do I know this?
I botted 24/7 since July, stopped botting in December, started botting again in Jan, lost 10+ accounts at the same time around 1/10/13. (all accs were on diff static IP).
I still have most of my accounts from July, so if you are saying they flagged me a long time ago for botting 24/7, I say again, you are wrong. And like the OP, I also made new accounts and they got banned within a week. I can probably provide additional useful information because I wasn't even using demonbuddy

But hey, feel free to give me another infraction for speaking my opinion.

So they were all from the same IP and running 24/7 and rocketed to 60.

If you were designing a script to catch botters, these things alone would not be enough. Did you get a ban email at all?

Want me to check? 13 different emails but I can check.

Greetings,

* * * NOTICE OF ACCOUNT CLOSURE * * *

A user of this account has recently been involved in actions deemed inappropriate for Diablo III by the In-Game Support staff of Blizzard Entertainment. This decision was made after a thorough investigation of the situation as a whole. Though we are unable to discuss the outcomes of our investigations due to privacy concerns, rest assured that this incident has been looked into very thoroughly, and the appropriate actions have been taken on all involved accounts.

Account Action: Account Closure
Offense: Unapproved Third Party Software
A third party program is any file or program that is used in addition to the game to gain an unfair advantage. These programs may increase movement speed or teleport heroes from one place to another beyond what is allowed by game design. It also includes any programs that obtain information from the game that is not normally available to the regular player or that transmit or modify any of the game files.

Cheat Programs ("Hacks")
We take action against accounts using hacks when a hero on the account is identified using a hack program. Hacks provide benefits normally not achievable in the game. Such benefits may include: increased speed, teleportation, or running through walls.

Automation Programs ("Bots")
We take action against accounts using automation programs or bots when one or more heroes on the account are identified using a bot to achieve automation.

This Diablo III account has been closed by our staff based on a review of the account and all related policy violations, in accordance with the Terms of Use and our In-Game Policies (http://us.battle.net/support/en/article/300722). Moving forward, this Diablo III account and any Heroes or items associated with the account are no longer accessible. The only way to continue playing Diablo III is to purchase a new license, or to attempt to recover access by appealing account closure. While closure overturns are very unlikely, we advise that customers pursuing an appeal hold off on purchasing a new Diablo III license until the appeal process has completed. If you add a new Diablo III license, a new account will overwrite your old, without any prior Heroes or items from the closed account.
