ZDPS Monks need a little help, suggestion from other ZDPS Monks and classes requested

ZDPS monks need to be more spammy with their skills.

  • Many of us run Band of Rue Chambers and a Generator for spirit upkeep so dumping Spirit is not an issue
  • Most of the skills that are used are cooldown based, not Spirit based anyways.
    • Mantra needs to be recast every 3 seconds, otherwise spamming should occur.
  • We stack CDR so that we can permanently keep Epiphany up while keeping cooldowns to a minimum
    • Spamming resource spenders helps reduce our cooldowns with zodiac ring.
    • Gogok gives us attack speed and dodge, while giving us 15% CDR for having 15 stacks. Spamming helps us here too.

Spamming should be one thing that bots are able to do much better than on hand players because they can calculate better what is available and what needs to be done in the coming 1-5 seconds.

When I am manually controlling (Or even just spamming buttons on the window while the bot is running), my other bots hardly ever die, even against crazy affixes and elites. (Thunderstorm avoidance is broken for me right now, however). I basically spam all the keys except when 3 second mantra active affix is about to expire, I slow down on the Cyclone Strike so I can make sure to cast Mantra.

When I let the bot run it, it often fails to spam everything.


Here is what it should be doing:

Stack on leader bot when the leader bot starts combat. Cast Inner Sanctuary and Cyclone strike quickly to keep leader in place and alive.

1) Constantly spamming generator skill (generator skill is chosen for either damage buff, enemy debuff, or proc legendary gems like Iceblink, effacious toxin, gogok, etc).
  • Spirit generator needs to be cast at least every 3 seconds to keep up Spirit Guards
  • Should always attempt when using spirit generator attacks to get to third strike for skill/rune buff/debuff.
    • IE: Spirit generator hit 1, 2, 3, cast cyclone strike, cooldown skills, go back to generator.

2) Spamming cooldown skills should have some logic:
  • Epiphany is always cast on cooldown regardless of combat.
  • Inner Sanctuary should be cast in emergency, on elite, or in any combat when a shrine/elite is not within 150 yards
  • Serenity is not usually used in support builds. If someone has it on, should be limited to emergency health.
  • Mystic Ally should be cast whenever the ally dies and off cooldown
    • If using the Air Ally rune, should be cast whenever available and spirit is below 100.
  • Blinding Flash should be cast every 3 seconds, if not outright spammed when in combat/off cooldown, regardless of rune.
  • Breath of Heaven should be spammed (hopefully other bots are within 12 yards)

3) Mantra active affix should always be on in combat (requires casting every 3 seconds). Should also be cast when out of combat and under emergency health.
  • Would be amazing if possible to also cast out of combat when anyone in the group hits emergency health.

4) Cyclone Strike should be spammed intelligently unless spirit is needed to keep up the Mantra 3 second Active affix
**It's important to not that most monks use Crippling Wave, and the third strike affects enemies within 11 yards

  • Eye of the Storm Rune: Cast whenever there are less than 16 enemies within 11 yards, but more that 2 enemies between 11 and 24 yards
  • Wall of Wind Rune: Cast every 1.5 seconds in combat to keep enemies frozen
    • Also cast whenever there are less than 16 enemies within 11 yards, but more that 2 enemies between 11 and 24 yards
  • Soothing Breeze Rune: Spam when any party member is below 100% health and spirit isn't needed for mantra.
  • Implosion Rune: Cast whenever there are less than 16 enemies within 11 yards, but more that 2 enemies between 11 and 34 yards

5) When standing in Inner Sanctuary, drop all avoidance to 1% health except molten explosions


Any advice on how to do this would be great, any suggestions are requested.
