This is an honest, not sarcastic question, though I am sure it will be deleted immediately. Whenever I post an issue on this forum I have to prepare for the frustration of just being brushed off. I receive one line, canned answers that are an obvious attempt to just get rid of me. I try and post clear, descriptive threads that take more than a second to write, not "Bot no work. Why?". I run my own contracting business and if I treated my customers like you guys treat me I would be out of business. For example, I made a few posts yesterday that were not answered satisfactorily AT ALL. After being asked to post one of my issues to Kicks thread, as it was a profile issue, and pm a mod the link, which I did immediately, I have received no indication that my post was even looked into. In my pm to the mod I expressed my dissatisfaction with how I am dealt with, and with how any answer I receive is a one liner with zero thought put into it I received the response, and I quote, "thx"... This has to be a deliberate attempt just to screw with me. So I sent an "e-mail" to the "contact us" link and have yet to receive an answer...even a one liner.

Also I posted an honest question on kicks thread, other than my exact profile issue as I wanted to keep them separate, asking how Kick levels to 90 in a week as he claimed in his thread. In the post I explained that any time I leave the bot on questing and dont babysit it is herpa derpa somewhere not doing as it should when I come back. This post was archived today with no consideration or answer.

I understand you guys job is hard and frustrating at times, but so is mine and I would venture to say many peoples is. I am sure this will be deleted, and I know I run the risk of being banned by expressing my dissatisfaction in this way.

The poor customer service I receive is the absolute only reason I do not upgrade to more sessions. I can handle having to figure most of my problems out on my own but I can not handle being shown my business does not matter to your company. I would like to add that a few months ago I was frustrated with the poor customer service I was receiving and CodenameG took the time to answer my questions to the best of his ability, and he made me feel like he was genuinely concerned. He wrote a few lines that probably took 3 min but his answers were such that I knew he was really trying to help, not just get me to shut up and figure it out myself.

It happens, especially with profile issues, that well thought out posts with log etc are simply ignored. Its a profile issue, not a bot issue, and profile writers sometimes only answer your questions/problems if they feel like it. Complain about not receiving a response and the likely reply is "make your own". It sucks, but thats the way it is. Try Cava's questing profiles if you need an alternative.
 
Thanks Paddy. I will definitely do that. I have never tried Cava's. I make my own grinding, and GB2 profiles but writing questing profiles is beyond my ability ATM.

The questing issue was one example and I really do understand what you are saying. I had other issues that were not profile issues though and that is partly what I was referring to.

I appreciate your help and will take your advice. Thanks again.
 
Profiles aside from the ones that are included in the install are not part of the honorbuddy product you purchased, and are creation of users of the program, and in some cases the profile creator may be a moderator, this does not reflect honorbuddy's customer service, but another user making public their personal profiles. I have had nothing but the most prompt and courteous service when there is issue with the bot, but the profiles are the responsibility of the user that posted them.
 
The mod to which I am referring is not Kick...This mod is obviously a Bossland employee. As I stated in my post my biggest frustration is with the 1 line answers that seem to just try and get rid of me. Profile issues aside, this is what frustrates me.

each post is left there ~1 day before being archived

now, if you did notice ... i left your DK bug report there because it's a valid issue. Your question isn't exactly a profile issue, it was a question.

now, to address your issue

Please tell me how to do this...?...EVERY SINGLE time I leave my bot for more than a few minutes while using a questing profile my toon is herpa derpa somewhere.... I normally run questing when I can babysit and grind when I cant..how ass backwards is this? for logs and a FEW of my exact problems please see my above post...I am not being sarcastic, please explain how you level so quickly with out all these issues. Thanks.
-edit- maybe "a few minutes" ws an exaggeration but it is every time I leave questbot alone...always on kicks.


There was no log, so I archived it. It says in my thread that you must attach a log or your post will be archived w/o being responded to

Yes I understand that and this post was NOT specifically about my post being moved. I apologize if this is how it seems, as I guess that is how it came off due to the response I am getting. Maybe I should not have mentioned you in an example. I was trying to avoid pissing one specific person off and make it a more general post about my experiences when having problems.

As an aside I cant find where you answered my "question".
 
I answered your first question, which you quoted ... but I didn't answer that second question that i archived because w/o a log... or quest name, id, zone, profile, etc, there's nothing that I can do about it, specifically. I know some things herpa derp, but w/o a pin point, idk what that is

Unfortunately, most of the staff is not like Chinajade. He gives incredibly in-depth answers to question because he is not a paid employee.
However for the rest of us, we try to go through posts quickly.

HB is usually not the cause of WoW errors. There are a number of things. And he gave you a few options.

As for your character not doing the quest correctly and only auto-attacking, you pretty much answered your own question.
You could try another CC, but I doubt that would work because it is auto-attacking something it should be using a quest object to kill.
This probably means that a quest behavior is broken and it needs to be fixed. (post about it in kick's thread)

and then i archived it bc it was essentially a useless post - due to no log or specifics (no offense, but yesterday I came home from class and archived 70 posts ... my thread gets 50-300 posts a day, depending)

But to answer your question ... my bots usually don't mess up, but when they do - I fix them. Getting 1-90 fast - get 4x16-22 slot bags, enable auto equip/talented2, play a self healing class that doesn't use a lot of mana, and it's usually pretty fast. If you play a caster, or a stupid rogue - expect it to take longer due to squishiness

I didn't respond at all to that post, but it's not archived ... it's a valid bug and I have to get time this weekend to re-run the DK profile and fix stuff. If I didn't respond to a bug, and it's not archived ... it's basically added to the to-do list

Thanks for the reply Bam. As it said in my post these "wow errors" ONLY happen when running HB and it is always a "memory writing error". I'm sorry I couldnt give you a more technical description. These errors will not happen for weeks then will happen for days consecutively. I guess at this point I should just leave well enough alone. I will still not be upgrading, though this may change depending on future interactions with you guys, and continue to bounce 1 session between WoW accounts. Thanks again.

As I do have the same issue, but only when running more then one instance of WoW, may I ask for your Hard/Software configuration & HB usage?

Very rude remark, and this type of comment is what tears apart this community. If the profile doesn't work, you report it to the author so that maybe he/she is able to fix it. Most people here who write profiles/plugins want feedback to keep things running smooth.
 
@ Jasko--Dont really want to post a full system configuration...Currently running on a toshiba laptop, win7 64bit, i7 processor, Nvidia integrated graphics card and 8 gigs of ram. I have ran up to 3 WoW processes with HB. I use separate WoW installs, one in program filesx86 and another in a folder I just named arbitrarily. These errors do not coincide with having more than one instance of WoW open.

You posted all important to me, but the only thing we have in common is Win7 x64 :) Thanks a lot!
It is my feeling, that it only happens with more than one instance, I'm not sure where my crashes come from, since they are "quite" few(sometimes 2-5 times a day for days, then weeks of silence..). Anyway, thanks!
